I'm going to be honest with you. Very disappointed with Patera Landscaping with the patio and the entire experience. Size of patio not what we originally talked about. (This was reduced from the bill) Privacy screen, when I talked with the guy that showed up they were going to put in a 12 foot fence. I corrected them and told them it should have been 16 feet. Color does not match what we picked out Stamp is so crooked that the pergola guy noticed it when he first walked up. Steps were not initially what we talked about 1 foot by 1 foot. This was corrected Now with the new stairs, I have 3 different colors of patio. As you can see this experience was not a great one. Very disappointed nobody ever came out to talk about the crooked stamp or color. The cement guy had no direction when it came to the stairs. I just don't feel what we initially talked about was communicated to the contractors doing the work.

Patera did a great Spring cleanup of the plants, mulched, added boulders and fixed a landscape light. The team worked hard, respected the property and were friendly. Abby in the office kept me informed when the crew would start the work which was appreciated. Warren was helpful in overseeing the project. We’ve used Patera in the past for our retaining wall and landscape. They did a great job!

The work crew was helpful and answered questions. The project was completed and looks nice. The salesman never showed up and gave me wrong information. The side yard and front yard used for access looks awful. Stone walkway that was moved for access was not replaced. I will not use them again nor recommend them to any friends.

From the sales rep to the office staff to the grounds crew, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and super responsive. As with any project, issues came up, and Patera addressed them immediately. I will use this company in the future and recommend them to family, friends and neighbors!

Had a huge tree removed as part of the OPPD project, and wanted to get our yard sodded and leveled. We knew getting sod in late July was tough, but a crew came out and started working and Ryan promptly left. They did NOT level the ground. One side is shorter than the other. They did not put any top soil down before laying sod, (agreed to previously) They took pieces of sod from what looked like the "leftovers" from other jobs. They didn't even place new sod against old sod an there are over 20 gaps in the sod that measure 8" to 24" across and are now just mud, Our back yard looked like a patchwork quilt. Called Ryan Patera and he said stay with a strict watering schedule and it will be fine. 8 brown pieces just died. The "lime green" grass is the majority of the leftover sod, and about 4 random pieces of sod are close to the color of our current grass. Called a week ago and followed up twice in a week with no response. The poor staff assistant had to call me on 8-22-23 and let me know Ryan was delaying until next week (which would make it a month delay). I insisted he had to come by the 23rd. Ryan (via text to my husband) says he showed up at our house and the grass looks great...keep on watering! PROBLEM SOLVED in Ryan's mind...I guess" Ryan never came to the door. We never had a discussion with him...actually, I don't even have proof he was even there. If everything is soooo great...why is he afraid to talk about it face to face? This all seems so childish to me. Don't really understand how you can run a business where the owner's opinion is the only one that matters and they won't even have a discussion with the clients...AND you require payment up front and never respond when there are legitimate concerns with the project. Disappointing...I was expecting much better from them. Our kids went to high school together. I had recommended them to some neighbors, several who stopped by to see our sod and made a quick decision to find another landscaper.
