On March 6, 2023 my son was recruited by Coach Antonio A******* to play Basketball for Busche Academy as a post grad student. We visited the school and were told by Coach Anderson, they would have a Basketball and workout Dome built by August for the upcoming 2023/2024 season. On March 31, 2023 I had a lengthy conversation with Darron J**** the Director of Operation at Busche Academy how important an onsite basketball court and gym would be for my sons athletic training going forward and I was assured the Sports Dome would be ready by August 2023. I also mentioned not receiving a handbook with rules and structure for the school and was advised that it was in the process. Over the next few months, I tried to contact Busche Academy in regards to the construction of the Sports Dome and got no reply. In July 2023, my son received a call from Coach Antonio A******* telling him he left Busche Academy and asked if ****** was interested in looking at the new school he was at as it has basketball courts and a workout facility. When talking with Coach A*******, I asked him why he left Busche Academy and he said because the Sports Dome was not going to be ready and he could not provide his athletes the conditioning and coaching he promised. Although I submitted a nonrefundable deposit, Busche Academy cannot provide my son the facilities and coach that was presented to us during our visit and I feel that the school has failed us and should refund our deposit. If the school had the Sports Dome as promised, my son would be going there.Business response

In March 2023, the student completed the enrollment process and was registered to attend our school as a boarding student. The student held one of a few limited spots in the classroom/dormitory and was assigned funds allocated for financial aid and scholarship that were not made available to other students. In July 2023, the school accepted the family's decision to unenroll their student, but it is school policy and is written in the student's signed enrollment contract that the initial tuition deposit is non-refundable.
