On August 12,2022, we purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon from Flying Wheels. There was an expired temporary inspection sticker on the vehicle from them at the time. Upon returning to Maine, we had it inspected on 8/15/2022 and it failed for multiple reasons, including a muffler and tail pipe with a rusted hole and broken bolts in the exhaust manifold along with no TPMS sensor in the tires and a burnt out license plate light. Flying Wheels agreed to fix the muffler and tailpipe at no cost. They proceeded to install the incorrect muffler and tailpipe for this model and it is missing a bracket that is causing rattling. Because it is not the correct parts it will continue to make a rattling noise. There was never any advertisement or disclosure before agreeing to the purchase price that this vehicle would fail inspection. There was no disclosure that there were any defects that would cause a failure of an inspection. Flying Wheels did, in good faith, put a new muffler and tailpipe on, although not the correct parts for this model causing constant rattling. Under NH law a consumer must be given the opportunity to have the vehicle inspected before purchase. No such opportunity was given to us. There is no way an auto shop that offers inspections would not know that this vehicle would not pass inspection with these major, costly items needed to pass. It was also not disclosed what problems were present with the vehicle. We have had the work done in ME so our vehicle can pass inspection one month later and still have the incorrect muffler on the vehicle. The TPMS does not work because the tires installed are for a Cadillac Escalade not a GMC Yukon. We have spoken with an attorney but would like to have this settled here first.

Thank you for reaching out. Customers always have the right to have a vehicle inspected prior to purchase. In fact, we encourage it if they ask. This customer had the option for anyone local to perform and independent inspection prior to purchase.  They did not.  We performed some repairs in good will and faith only to help the customer after purchase at our cost.  (over $1000 in retail expenses) We covered it for the customer in good will.  We also had a large amount of repairs that had to be made to their trade in which were not disclosed to us as well.  We did not reach out to the customer for reimbursement. We assumed the repairs on our on. The customer purchased the Yukon the same way (as/is) and is responsible to assume all repairs made after the purchase as well.  We would be happy to send them an invoice for needed repairs on their trade in if they would like to cover them?   Had we heard about this rattling issue, we would have gladly fixed if for them at no charge in good will again to help them out. If they have reached out to an attorney as they claim, we are no longer interested in assisting this customer in the future.

      thank you

On April 21, 2022 Flying wheels of Danville NH sold me a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee for $11,400 and said the vehicle would come with inspection sticker and plate. After paying for vehicle they stated the Jeep wasn’t ready to be hooked up to the machine to get sticker and then stuck a sticker for June 2022 on it when my birthday is in August. Vehicle was under recall for fuel filter pump which they didn’t inform me about before buying. I Brought Jeep to fix recall today at jeep dealership in Portsmouth NH and was informed of a bunch of other stuff wrong with Jeep. I bought Jeep on April 21 2022, they put a June 2022 sticker on it without inspecting or hooking up to machine? After being told jeep would come with inspection sticker good through August 2023… If that’s not illegal then what is it?! I told them I needed safe vehicle in good condition to get my disabled son to and from doctors and this is what they did sold me a Jeep with illegal sticker that doesn’t match my correct information. The Portsmouth Jeep dealership that fixed recall today 7/7/22 said they will upload everything they found wrong with it into their system. I will see if I can obtain that info. Is there anything that can be done about this? Flying wheels is saying that they knew nothing about the issue which is obviously not true. I sent them text messages about it as well as pictures of parts hanging off the Jeep the minute I left their dealership and drove it home and now they say they never heard of the issue.

This is the 1st correspondence we have had with this customer aside from a negative Google review. If she wanted a solution, direct communication would have been best. The Jeep dealership sells parts and labor at retail+. That is thier job. A call to us directly would have been preferred. Also, when she recieved a 60 day inspection sticker, she was told to drive to vehicle 100 miles and come back to us for a new inspection sticker. the computer needed to set all the monitors before allowing a full 12 month inspection sticker. She did no such thing. She passed her 60 day window and left us a negative review and contacted the bbb instead. We would much prefer help out customers personally but she chose this route. We are not willing to offer any further assistance
