This is my second lemon from the golf cart manufacturer. Original dealer is out of business. Manufacturer sent me to this business as they became the new product rep. Dropped off my golf cart on 11/3/22 for service work. I kept calling but the cart was not fixed. On March 17th of this year 2023, I was told that they could not find the part and it was not manufactured anymore. I asked how much for my golf cart if I traded it in on a new golf cart. At first, they said $2000. They went up to $3000 on a verbal agreement. I called back the next week to see if the trade in price was still good. The owner said no. What was he going to do with a golf cart that is not running. So here I am with a golf cart that is not operating properly and there is no other product rep around. I am disabled from numerous back procedures and my walking is limited.Business response

This gentleman has never purchased a cart from Kingston's Karts. Not one, not two, but ZERO carts has he purchased from us. He has come to us in the past for parts and we were able to get him what he needed. After he decided not to go thru with the purchase, I also decided I did not want to sink too much money in a cart that does not, from a customer we never even sold anything to. We don't know the history if this unit, and we certainly did not appreciate is threating actions towards our staff. We are an old fashioned business and have a good reputation. His complaint should be with the manufacturer, not us.Customer response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: Yes Mr. K******* is correct. I did not purchase this lemon golf cart from him. I was forced to go to him from the distributor in California. His company is the one that the distributor in California was sent to pick up the first lemon that burnt up. I was sent the second lemon from the distributor in California. He is the only Evolution dealer around that I was sent to. I sent the second lemon golf cart to him in November 2022 for service. I was informed in March of 2023 that they could not fix my golf cart for which they are the only dealer around to perform the repairs to the golf cart. I believe that this is something he should bring up to the distributor in California and the manufacturer. I paid good money for technically 2 lemon golf carts. If I cannot go to the dealer that the distributor sent me to for repairs, what is my option. I have spoken to many golf cart repair technicians and other dealers of other brands. None of them would touch an Evolution product because of their poor product reputation and poor customer service. The East Coast Representative for Evolution will not even return my calls. I have been in the customer service area all of my life and have never been or would I treat any of my customers as I have been by the two Evolution golf cart dealers or distributor as I have been. Mr. K******* in good faith made an offer to me and then took it back. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the New Hampshire Attorney General, Florida Attorney General for the East Coast Representative not responding, and the California Attorney General because I do not believe Evolution EV Vehicles should be sold in this country because of their poor product and customer service.

The minority of this complaint is directed to Kingston's Karts. He is mad because I changed my mind on a trade allowance, so he has decided to harm my reputation with what seems to be a vindicative attitude. By including me in his real complaint, which is with the manufacturer, Evolution, he has tarnished our reputation. Take a survey of our customers who own Evolutions, and I am sure you will find an extremely high satisfaction rate!Customer response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: I was sent to Kingston Karts because they are the only Evolution dealer in the area for repair of my Evolution golf cart. I have lost all faith and respect with Evolution dealers and the manufacturer because they cannot repair the product they sell. Yes, I purchased parts from Kingston Karts because they are the dealer for my golf cart! The local dealer should be able to repair a 2017 Evolution golf cart seeing as they are the only dealer around. There must have been another dealer or even the distributor somewhere in this world that could have located the part that was needed to repair my golf cart. Too bad the deal that was presented to me was taken off of the table. You would have sold another Evolution golf cart, hopefully not another LEMON. and we wouldn't be here. No, I wouldn't even except a "GOOD FAITH" Evolution golf cart. This problem has been exasperated by the fact that you cannot depend on the dealer that Vivian sent me to to repair my golf cart. Funny how you can customize and make all brands of golf cats look good and sell them but being an Evolution dealer, you cannot even repair your product. Is it because you get a deal with financing new Evolution products. Your shop had my golf cart for 5 months. I know someone in the Evolution line could have come up with a remedy. I am not tarnishing your reputation. You did a good job on your own. I have records from my first court dealings with the last Evolution dealer that were in my favor. I bet they are going to Laff at this again. See you soon.
