I brought the ski doo back to the place I purchased it. This was my first attempt to use it after purchasing it from the dealer and paying the dealer $250 to winterize the craft. I purchased the craft based on its reported service record that showed the craft had consistent and up-to-date service records I drove 2 hours 4th of July weekend to use the craft and paid separate launching fees; if the $25 craft would not turn over, I paid Marina $149 for the new battery. Marina's mechanic told me there was an issue, possibly with the fuel filter. The weekend was compromised lost $350 with fuel included. I returned the craft to Dalton and told Kyle the fuel filter needed to be changed and instead charged to recharge the battery, I took my vacation time, took the craft to the lake, started it, and again it would not turn over. I again took it back, reiterating the need for the fuel filter to be changed; now, with a loss of $400 and 4 weeks of water play, my summer vacation impacted an additional towing gas fee for a total of $450. The craft had its fuel filter changed by another mechanic. Happy to provide the merchant with the fuel filter. I want my $250 winterization fee refunded for $650 to cover a fraction of my losses, neglect, misconduct, and wasted service fees in trips and wasted time. Excluding any personal fees for withholding watercraft from personal use for excessive four weeks and not correcting the problem, loss of vacation, holiday, and personal use of purchased craft—a loss of over 8 hours in time and gas bringing it into Lancaster site. Tow time, launch fees, tow gas, and launch time for two separate occasions after Kyle identified the craft had no problem. I purchased this machine from Dalton, and the seaDoo GTX reported a history of consistent and complete tune-ups.Business response

The customer purchased the Sea-doo PWC (not a Ski-doo as is stated in the complaint) in October of 2021. The unit was purchased for $1400, as is. He paid us $235 to winterize it for him. In July, he brought it to us as they could not get it to start. Our first discovery was that the fuel was not turned on. Our second discovery was that the battery was not fully charged. We charged the battery, turned the fuel on and started the unit several times. He was charged $39.64 for this service which he paid. A few weeks later the customer returned. again with the complaint of a no start. We again started the unit several times successfully and did note that it was running a bit rough. The fuel filter which is simply a screen was clear. We replaced spark plugs as they were fouled a bit perhaps from repeated unsuccessful starts. Again we started the unit several times with no issue. The customer currently still owes for this service $114.48.
