I have had this cell number since 2012. No sooner that I received the new number, I've been getting call after call. First it was for a Romando. Then it's another company calling for this dude. This kept repeating itself up till this year where its no longer a real person but automated. As I have repeated myself to each creditor that has called, it's always a different company wanting something. There is no one by that name, Romando. I keep telling them to stop calling as I am not this Romando. Forward to each agency that buys this, I have no debts outstanding and my name isn't *******, stop calling and delete my number from your system.Business response

I got a new phone and since the first day it was activated they have been calling me every few days, it's always a robocall that never says who they are trying to get a hold of, I've tried calling them to get them to stop, but as they don't say who they are trying to call they refuse to look up and remove my phone number.Business response

This is the first request we have received to cease calling. We have placed the phone number on our Do Not Call (DNC) list. If the debtor had contacted us directly to request the cessation of calls, we would have honored that request promptly. As noted, the messages are automated and not delivered by a live person; therefore, we cannot cease calls unless we are made aware of such requests.Initial Complaint

We have thoroughly reviewed our records as well as the records provided by our client, and there is no evidence of any payment made towards account number ************. This outstanding balance is still owed to the client. I've never been contacted by an actual person, and never got calls back when I left them messages. I've asked the hospital to re-assume the bill and I'll start making payments - the financial issue I had at the time is over, but I don't want to deal with these Marcam asshats; I'd rather just pay the folks at the hospital that did the work.Business response

We have added the phone number ending in 6709 to our Do Not Call (DNC) list. This means no further calls should be made to this number. Additionally, we have reviewed our records and did not find any evidence of the debtor calling and leaving voicemail messages.

This account has been reported in accordance with the credit reporting guidelines as required by law. Furthermore, we would like to clarify that the consumer has proactively engaged with our company prior to filing this complaint. During those interactions, the consumer acknowledged the existence of the debt and has been adhering to a consistent payment plan since November 7, 2022. Throughout these interactions, the consumer never expressed a need for debt validation within the validation period.Customer response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: This debt is affecting my credit and was immediately sent to collections without my knowledge. No payment plan was discussed. I want this removed from my credit report.
