I I went to Melissa for botox for TMJ and she charged me $470.00 for 5 units of botox on both sides of my face for a total of 10. The usual amount used in this procedure is 20 on each side (25 sometimes) for about the same price as she charged me $500.00 at the most. She took advantage of the fact that this was the first time I had this done. I want her to refund me all of my $470.00 or at least half of it. I am going to report her to her licensing board also if I don't get any satisfaction. ***** *******Business response

***** came into my office on 9/9/2023 requesting treatment of her masseter muscles. Informed consent was obtained and ***** signed acknowledgment of a total dose of 40 units, each masseter would be injected with 20 units as described in my attachments. I charge $13/ unit which would come to a total cost of $520.00 She had a $50 deposit that was deducted from the total cost which would bring her total cost to $470.00. ( see receipt above) ***** agreed to this and is aware that I cannot guarantee results as discussed in my consent for which she signed. I recommend all my clients to make a 2 week follow up so that we can monitor results and adjust the dose as needed. Which is standard practice. ***** has not reached out to me or followed up with me prior to me being notified with this complaint. I always strive to have satisfied customer so this disappoints me. I inject in 5 injection points on each masseter (4units each site) to equal 20 units for each masseter. I am happy to provide a FULL refund to ***** with the stipulation that she and her Mother, ***** ******* are no long clients of mine and will no longer be booking services, ***** and her Mother will stop reporting false information to internet sites and the BBB, withdraw threats and not follow through on threats of reporting any interaction to any state licensing bureaus and also there will be no negative reviews will be left on any public websites. If agreeable, will send a email to ***** ******* and her Mother ***** ******* to sign and refund will be provided in its entirety to the card on file.
