Pathetic how the opening line when you call this facility is We pride ourselves in the treatment of patients, however, Emergency Room staff are sitting playing on their private cell phones (approx 9:00 pm 10/01/23). My mother arrived at 6 am and did not receive anything to eat till 5:45 pm and then the meal was cold. Pride in their treatment of patients that she was to be given her medication at 6 pm for Parkinsons and received it 2 1/2 hours late and because we had to make ******* aware, whom by the way seemed CLUELESS. *** actually looked at my mothers chart and knew exactly what we were referring to. ******* acted with NO REGARD! SHAMEFUL HOW *******, FEMI AND **************** WASHED THEIR HANDS OF MY MOM SUPPOSEDLY BECAUSE SHE WAS ADMITTED (There is no doctor for patient after being admitted, is what we were told)., but is stuck in Emergency Room because of no bed availability. Basically, you showed us that when going there for an emergency, you better not have a life threatening emergency and get admitted, because you may die in emergency. Also, got tested at 3 pm for Covid, was positive and no one notified us and the signage was not posted on her door at 9:25 pm. I find this facility pitiful. You should be ashamed that you have hired.a bunch of inadequate and poorly trained staff. We understand it was busy and and beds were not available to move her quickly, however, they should not be any down time. The bulk of the workload was on ***, one staff, who obviously takes his position to heart and went above and beyond to provide my mom with her medication. She may not be their mother, but is someones mother and should be treated with respect and dignity. We chose you because of *************************************** (her neurologist). I wonder what they would do had she been their mother? THANK YOU *** ON THE 7 PM SHIFT. BECAUSE OF YOU THIS REVIEW IS NOT A ZERO. Great job JFK and Meridian. New slogan should be Pathetic Treatment Given Here. We have the worst trained staff.

I am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend who was taken to JFK in ****** after suffering a seizure. He waited almost three hours for an x-ray, got stitched up in a hallway and the wound was left uncovered. When he tried to explain his symptoms and issues to the "Neuro Team," the MD rolled his eyes and made the assumption that he had sinus problems. ******* suffers from stress induced seizures and after the unprofessional and dismissive 'conversation" with this physician, he was left in a room with no bathroom. Despite using the call bell 3 times, no one came to check on him and there was blood and urine on his bed which he had to sleep in. The staff at *** are dismissive with no bedside manner. This is the second time he was admitted to *** due to seizures and the Medical Staff treated him as if they had no time to deal with him or listen to his concerns. This facility is a joke.

Hospital orders unnecessary tests only to make money. Beware they tell you they spoke to your insurance and confirmed you only have to pay $35 and then send you a bill for $1000. They wont discuss bill with you, just send you to a collection agency. Go to RWJ

Nurses called to get consent for a procedure for which I had already given consent six hours earlier. The nurses were quite unprofessional and mixed up the gender of my father. I did not get much confidence about the procedure that was being performed.
