Prudential has failed to establish me as power of attorney for my mother's account. I have sent the requesting information via **** registered mail 24 March 2023. No response was ever given. 29 June they sent a threating letter stating that my mother's address had changed. This could have negative consequences to her medical care and other implications. I contacted Prudential on 29 July 24 and found nothing from my prior efforts had been done to establish POA. On 29 July 2024 I sent all requested document to again establish POA. I called on 2 Aug 2024. They acknowledge receipt of documents via e-mail and told me it would be processed in 7 to 10 business days. I called on 12 August 2024 they still have not processed the POA and struggle everytime that I call with Prudential even finding the information.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Prudential's response was the typical answer that I have received in the past.  Always checking but no pertinent information in their Response.  The POA has been established but without notification of establishment, no response to my calls and the case work.  I had to call them to find out that it was finally done  after a year pushing them to set up the POA, a year of them saying they were working on it and multiple duplicate submissions of information.

BBB please close the case but please make this information available to consumers.

      Regards,

      ******* ******

I called on 6/4 to make an allocation change but was denied. They said they mailed the statements on 5/7. But it took time for the mail to arrive and there could be delays. I did not check mails on a daily basis and was away for some days. The mail I received says there are only 20 calendar days to make the allocation change which is not enough time. Obviously whoever designed this made the time window short for some purposes. What is more frustrating is that the fixed crediting rate is only 1.75% when you can just put your money in a bank and earn almost 5%. What is more, they want customers to lock down this rate for 7 years, otherwise, there is penalty. Based on these, it is easy to see how customers are treated and how customer money was being taken advantage of. I saw a lot of complaints about this company on the internet and I trust that their reputation is being taken seriously.

I am having trouble accessing my Prudential UPS Teamsters 401k account. I have contacted them multiple times and the call was routed to Empower. I spoke to someone at Empower they would transfer me back to Prudential and then the call would be routed back to Empower. They have told me that my account was still with Prudential. But then later, I was told it was moved to Empower. When I could get a hold of someone from Prudential which only happened once, they have told me that my account was transferred to Empower. I want to know where my account is located so that I can access my funds. The last time, I spoke to someone they have mentioned that the amount was totaled of about $1740. I am still having $60 taken out of my weekly check and sent to a Prudential account that I do not have access to. Can someone please help me? I have tried to call both Prudential and Empower to get the contributions to stop, I have tried having my account moved over to a new account, I have tried opening a new profile. I want to know where my account is located or my funds. I would also like contributions to stop being taken from my check. This has been going on for three months since October 2023.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have yet to see my account appear on Empower/Prudential and I will wait for further notice regarding the matter. I was told that I should begin to see my account in the early part of March because Prudential hasn't finished transitioning over to Empower. And I have yet to see if my account contributions have stopped within two pay cycles from January 26, 2024.

I feel like I was mislead by two agents that no longer work for prudential. I have filed a complaint with Prudential and they have not reached out to me. I have called numerous times and did the official complaint on line and yet no one called. Poor business practice towards their customers

Prudential retirement plan # ****** is my 357 retirement plan thru my job. I have 2 mortgages on my home. I received an act 91 from my 2nd mortgage because I felted behind. The act 91 have the mortgage company name, address, the months behind, and the amount. I request to take a hardship withdrawal from my 357 k. I faxed all the information the mortgage company sent me, as proof of my hardship. But Prudential retirement denied me, saying they need more information. This is not my first hardship withdrawal, and they never ask for detailed information until now. I feel as though they're denial is personal. The act 91 is a foreclosure notice, and I have health issue which causes me to struggle paying both mortgages. I asking for the the withdrawal to stop the foreclosure on my home.

I aquired retirenebnt insurance through my job with Prudential Retirement insurance for over 20 years . Now at retirement age they have fully divested the account. 0.1 cents is left and sent it WITHOUT MY PERMISSION to another company that I have never heard of and cannot get in touch with. WHERE IS MY RETIREMENT FUNDS? This is fraudulent .A company publically advertising themselves as a retirement fund, sell the account to unknown questionable companies when you are of age and possibly ready ro retire. Prudential needs to be audited and thoroughly investigated for fraudulent activity.
