To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Tuminno's Towing, I utilized their towing services, and during the process, the rear bumper of my vehicle was damaged. Despite multiple attempts to contact the company to resolve this issue, I have been unable to reach the relevant person. The lack of response and accountability is highly concerning and unacceptable. Here are the details of my complaint: Date of Incident: July 14th, 2024 Description of Incident: The rear bumper of my vehicle was damaged while it was being towed by Tuminno's Towing. Attempts to Resolve: I have called the company numerous times and left messages but have not received any response. Desired Resolution: I would like Tuminno's Towing to cover the cost of repairing the damage to my vehicle of 600 dollars, because it is a mercedes and it is very expensive to fix. I am seeking the BBB's assistance in resolving this matter promptly and fairly. I hope that with your intervention, I can reach a satisfactory resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We only agreed on the reimbursement amount of $408.51 on 8/22/24 and I explained to customer that I was out of the office until this week. The check will be written today. I have emailed the customer for address to mail the check or gave him option to pick it up.Customer response

My truck would not start I call Tumino's Towing to help they tow me to their shop and the mechanic bypass my water separator filter and run the line direct which allowed contamination fuel water etc.. to flood my Injectors and blew my engineBusiness response

Another road service company had worked on this man’s truck at the Vince Lombardi rest area on the New Jersey Turnpike. We got called to tow the truck to our shop because it would not start and had oil all over the engine. We found that the fuel tank on the driver side had a crack in it so we bypassed that fuel tank so the customer could run the truck off of the passenger side fuel tank. We advised him that there was something wrong with the motor because there was oil all over it and it was only running on five cylinders. He stated that he had the fuel injectors worked on previously also. Bypassing a fuel tank so that it could run off of one tank cannot contribute to a motor getting blownCustomer response

Another road service company came and changed the fuel filter, at the Vince Lombardi rest area on the New Jersey Turnpike. its Started and did not run, so I called Tumino's Towing take the truck in their shop because it would not start and no oil was all over the engine.Tumino's Towing They bypass my water filter which cause the dirty fuel to go into my Jectors and blew my engine,nothing was wrong with my tank on the driver side, and they also bypassed that fuel tank, they got my truck to start and smoking , knowing they did not do the job right , soon as I drove out 200 ft from their shop my engine blew ........

************ location has my car (2008 ***** CRV); which was declared total loss by my insurance company (Allstate) and ****** does not want to release my license plate. Allstate insurance called ****** granting them permission to release my plates and they did not care. ****** said my insurance (Allstate) will come pick it up and give it to me; which is not true because Allstate told me they will not do that. I need my license plate from ******** in ************. License plate # ******.Business response

The vehicle in question was picked up by her insurance company on 12/1/21. It looks like this complaint was made on 11/30/21 and was not seen before it was picked up. Vehicle license plates need to stay on vehicles until insurance companies inspect the vehicle. It was explained to her that we do not take plates off vehicles to hold for customers as we would then be responsible for storing and tracking hundreds of license plates. Her insurance company should be able to tell her where the vehicle is to retrieve her plates.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
This information is incorrect. My insurance company called this towing company and explained to the gentlemen that Allstate approved them to give me my license plate. When I went to try and retrieve my plates a guy starting yelling at me telling me that my insurance company will give me my license plate; which is incorrect because Allstate advised me that they do not mail anyone there license plate and that I would have to retrieve it at the towing place.
