  On Facebook, in a gardening forum I asked for recommendations for purchasing bulk garden soil. I was solicited by the owner of this business that said he had bulk soil. I negotiated a price with him, he delivered the soil and I paid him cash. After moving the soil to our garden beds and planting our plants we're dying, I am not a soil expert and relied on the owners recommendation of his soil. The soil appears to be mostly sand and some compost material. I have requested that the owner refund my $700.00 and remove the 9 tons of material from my property, he has declined that request. I had requested garden soil and received what appears to be sand with compost.

  I am denying customers request for refund on the basis that  less than one month of time elapsed since delivery to installation of Said soil. 

   The soil came from a full scale commercial sod farm, of which i

  have documentation. however the material was pre maturely considered poor quality by the customer for their lack of gardening knowledge. I presume. 

   

  Second to  the above reason that. I was publicly slandered on that same face book page(which has since been deleted)  by the customer never once attempting to reach out to me and try to resolve the issue on a personal basis. Or ask questions and resolve the issue. However he chose to go the other route and therefore will not receive any compensation or further contact from me.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  I ordered garden soil and was delivered sand and with compost.  I had another landscape professional check the soil and he said it was unfit to grow anything and it looked as though went out to the desert and loaded sand and then added some type of compost.  It killed all the plants that were planted in it in a week and would not absorb water at all.  It certainly was not garden soil in any respect.  I could not give the stuff away.  As far as the Facebook post, others should be warned about unscrupulous business practices so they do not waste their money.  Business should look up the definition is slander, what was posted was the truth!
