I have completed hours of repair work one of our vehicles. After driving for hours I was able to connect my reader/programmer and could read all the sensors. The vehicle was ready to pass smog. I sent my fiance to this location to get the vehicle smogged. She tells me he was rude and dismissive, didn't explain anything, and simply told her it failed. After work I came home and tested the vehicle again, all the codes had been cleared. My reader showed the codes reset and cleared, as well as showing me the vehicle would no longer pass smog.Initial Complaint

Agree the employee was very rude and they run a scam. They failed a smog check on a new car by saying the plug for the inspection was modified or moved. Why would anyone modify an inspection plug? Took it to the dealership immediately and they completed the inspection and passed it right away. They said the plug was not modified and doesnt move on its own. They said that the Jiffy Smog inspector moved it himself or doesnt know where the plug is on new Mazdas and was trying to charge for a failed smog inspection so that they could charge it again later. I would never go back to Jiffy Smog because they are taking advantage of customers.Initial Complaint

Went to local jiffy smog to get a smog check and renew my wifes registration. I have been taking my 2 cars there for the last 12 years. This time, everything went ok or seemed too. After 3 weeks I noticed we never received out decal and updated registration. I contacted DMV and they said the hadn't received anything on my wife's car. I immediately went down to the jiffy smog and the attendant that day checked and he stated my car was never registered. I went into the glove box and gave him the temporary registration that they gave me. He ran that and its for another vehicle. I immediately contacted the area manager and it has gone nowhere. I started a dispute of charge with my credit card also. Besides all of this, on the same day I went to have them check the registration I had to do my wife's smog and registration again. Now I had to pay a late fee of $14.00 and another $10.00 fee for them for the transaction.Initial Complaint

Showed up 30 min prior to closing. Waiting in line, when came to my turn for smog check, guy comes out and says he's closed now. Instead of taking customers in line 30 min prior to close, waiting in line, and wasting gas in a pick up at almost $6. a gallon, he could have taken the time to say there was a cut off instead of wasting the customers time and money. Then he had the nerve to say, here's a location map, maybe make an appointment. what a jerk. Can not recommend any Jiffy Lube stores because of this one person. From Nov. 2020- present, I have parked in **** E. Tropicana business parking lot without incidence until Dec. 2021. I work in a business in this large parking lot and shaded areas are a commodity. I began parking behind a jiffy smog shop shaded by the building beginning in November 2021. Every day I parked there, a man would open the back door and glare at me and I would walk to my job. First week of Dec. as I got out of my new truck, a young man walked up to me - the back door opened and the man again glared at me - The young man introduced himself as 'the owner' I stated "He doesn't like me parking here, does he" He replied "He is gonna hafta get used to it " and we laughed. I walked to work. Approx Dec. 18, I finished my shift and walked out to my truck - a handwritten note reading 'DO NOT PARK HERE' was on my truck windshield. A few days later, a man called my place of work and threatened my coworker " If you don't move your truck, I will have it towed!". I notified ***** Smog corporate office via email about the note and the threatening phone call to my workplace. Dec. 19, I parked and stepped out of my truck- a young man stepped out the back door and yelled "Don't park here! Are you stupid !" End of my shift that day, I got in my truck and noticed indicator lights on the dash ! R front tire. I again notified Jiffy Smog corporate office of another harassing event. Dec. 20, I walked out to my truck at 1929 - my front windshield was cover with an unknown substance. The R side of my truck was vandalized. I contacted LV 311 and the dispatcher stated police would not respond. I sent pictures and video via emailed to ***** Smog Logan B******* who had corresponded by phone and e-mail promising resolution. Dec. 21, 2021 I again emailed Logan vandalism pictures in day lighting and have called him several times to continue resolution - I have not received a return call or email since. I am a professional nurse expecting my truck repaired.
