We hired JW Enterprises to do our nonprofit elementary school PTO taxes last year (for 2021) and this year (for 2022). We provided the correct information that he asked for. He filed taxes for 2020 (which had already been filed) and 2021 instead... which caused us to have a late fee on our taxes and a $4000+ penalty from the **** If he had admitted to his mistake it would have been annoying but understandable. Instead, he was belligerent, refused to meet with or listen to me, ignored emails or responded to them aggressively, and hung up during our conversation. I have never been treated so rudely by a place of business in my life. I have voicemail recordings and emails that show the lack of decency that I was shown. Aside from the over $1500 we paid him to file our taxes (which he did incorrectly) we then had to take care of and pay for the 2022 taxes on our own--even though that's what we paid him for. I tried to talk with him about the misunderstanding and how we could resolve it but he was adamant that he made no mistakes and spoke down to me as if I were dumb and didn't understand. The whole process was demeaning, frustrating, and horrible.Business response

II was hired by ******************* to prepare the 2021 taxes for the ********* PTO. I had filed the previous year 2020. The return was already due when ******* contacted me, and she was not sure if an extension had been filed. After some discussion and various emails, she sent information on the income and expenses.
I prepared the 2021 taxes, and by then, ******* informed me that she was leaving the organization. So I was contacted by ***********; *****, who stated she was taking over for *******. I sent a the copy of the tax return, and she summited payment. A Day later, she contacted me and wanted proof of the electronic filing. Which I provided. In an email I mentioned to ******* that I would not be doing the taxes going forward. Several days later She contacted me asking where the 2022 taxes were. I explained to her that I did not prepare the 2022 taxes, and she became upset, claimed I was paid for them and proceed to make demands on me to provide them. I again explained to her that she was in error, and that I would no longer engage the comp[any. She continued to call and email me demanding that I was paid to do the 2022 taxes. Finally I took one of her many menacing calls and again she was rude and very demanding so I ended the call.

I am rejecting this response because:First of all, we are not "*********" PTO, we are **********. We were very aware that our 2020 taxes were filed late by our previous treasurer but they were filed before we ever hired JW Enterprises. When we hired JW Enterprises in 2022 we needed our 2021 taxes filed. This year, ******* sent the information for our 2022 taxes and **** asked for 2021 once again. When ******* questioned him about this he never responded--except to tell us we were confused. I did ask multiple times about our 2022 taxes and even asked to meet in person along with my secretary but **** never responded at all to that request. When I called (because my emails were ignored) he continued to interrupt me and spoke down to me. I just have to laugh that he called me menacing because I don't think I've ever been described that way in my life by any friend or acquaintance. Attached are a few email correspondences.

I am sorry that the name was incorrect. The issue is still the same I was retained by ******************* to prepare the 2020 taxes originally, they have copies of the return.
******* contacted me to prepare the next year taxes, which would have been for 2021. ********** PTO is on a fiscal year basis, beginning 08/01/2021 and ending on 07/31/2022
I think that ******* and ******************* were confused by the dates, as I tried to explain to them the issue. So I am rejecting this claim by ************************* who is a new comer and I don't believe she is fully aware of the real facts.

I am rejecting this response because:If ***************** had taken the time to sit down with us or listen to us he would have been better able to understand the situation. I am very aware of our fiscal year dates. I am fully aware of what I asked my treasurer, Ms. ***** to take care of. ****************** refused to listen to my concerns or allow me to clear up any misunderstandings for either party. He consistently behaved in a condescending manner instead of trying to hear us out.

I am rejecting this complaint. I tried to help this organization. *************** however is not understanding at all.
At this point I am willing to refund the fee of ****** and pray that our paths never cross again.

I am so sorry. I meant to respond to the last message but was waiting for more information to come from the *** (and honestly dealing with **** gives me anxiety). I went out of town and hadn't had a chance to respond until now. We would like to accept his offer to refund us our payment of $850. Is that still possible?Business response
