I contacted the owner ***** in regards to engine repairs. He advised me it would take two weeks and he could do it for $850 (Engine price) and $500 labor, so I agreed. I dropped my car off to him on 9/9. He advised me it would take two weeks for my engine to repaired. I spoke with him on 9/24 he then said he had located an engine in **** , ********** and it would be done by the following week, at this time he also stated he had already removed my old engine. I then paid him the $850 for the engine expecting my car to be finished by the following week. The following two weeks come and go! My husband and I tried relentlessly to contact him in regards to our car! He refused to respond to any phone calls, or texts there was no communication by him at all. HE DISAPPEARED WITH MY CAR AND MY MONEY! I had to threaten to report my car as stolen if he did not contact me! He does contact me after the threat of being arrested! He then stated I should just buy a new car until he has time to fix mine and that he took my engine out and would charge me $250 to put my old engine back in if I wanted to just come get my car, I said fine I was tired of playing games, we agreed he would return my car on 9/13 , he again disappeared no phone call no text NOTHING but according to his social media accounts he was with his wife in ****** vacationing! FINALLY ON 9/17 he says the car is ready for pick up! My husband goes to get our car( I was in the hospital) he is not there ( too much of a coward to face my husband) but his son was. His son then admitted that they never took out the engine and had one coming in 2 more weeks. He also agreed his father should return our money. ***** then called my husband and said he would not return the money ( he agreed to return it on 9/13) because I yelled at him and cursed. In my opinion I had every right to be upset. He held my car hostage, tried to scam me for$250 for work he didn't do and now refuses to give me my money because I hurt his feelings!
