I have been having my membership at the joint for about 2 years sometimes I wouldnt go in for two moths because I didn't need it. I was paying $20 a month but on May 28th I stopped by after a while and they told me my membership got canceled and if I would like to renew it and I said yes, they only asked me for a signature to confirm and on September 12 I noticed the charge and reached out to them and nobody answered I sent the email again on September 18 because I didnt get an answer and still nothing so I stopped by today and they said that I signed the contract that they cant do anything about but refund 1 month and thats not okay because I was never asked nor did I request to change my plan.

This is not one of our clinics. We are a franchise and this one is not one of ours. It needs to be forwarded to the correct region.

Originally paid for a ten session visit. Upon reviewing bank records for taxes I found out I have been being charged $79 a month since 08/2022. They never told me about a monthly membership, and I never wanted a membership, just the ten visits. They say I signed a contract but provided none when asked. I never would have signed a contract and then not used it for over two years. The times I went I thought were part of the ten visits I paid for. It was for the joint chiropractic in south Jordan, Utah. The phone number there is 385-275-0600. They have been unwilling to return my money but I never signed up for this service. I wanted ten visits and that’s it. I went a total of 13 times from beginning to end. I would have gone once a week if I knew I had a membership. They don’t tell you how many times you go, so I assumed I was still in the ten visits I had paid for. There’s no reason I would sign up for a membership as well as a ten visit program. I would have just bought a membership and not paid for ten visits. Makes no sense.

Joint Chiropractic told me that I only need to sign up for two months mandatory. After that, you need to let us know if you want to sign up or not. I never went back after two months and still continues to charge me $89 every month. They told me miscommunication and while they told me wrong information and still trying to charge me monthly. July 09, 2024 was charging me automatically even thought I never went to ********* in ************ since I did not like the way they do their service.

Went in on appt @ 12:30 pm, at 4849 Cochise St., Unit 1, Carson City, NV on 7/15/24. I went in for a minor shoulder injury and low back pain. I was assigned to Dr. Jerry E******, D.C. He had been made aware that I had not had an adjustment in six years, so I was surprised when he did not use any heat on my back to relax the muscles. He said he was "just going to check things out" when he had me lie on my stomach, and commented on how tight my muscles were. I fractured my neck some years ago so I did not want him to adjust my neck that day. Suddenly I felt intense pressure on my spine followed by pain in my ribcage. He asked if I was alright. I asked what he did and why my ribs hurt. He told me sometimes the ligaments get stretched between the ribs when muscles are so tight and proceeded to adjust my neck to the right. I didn't want him to. Three attempts to the left and a silent prayer he wouldn't paralyze me. He continued with a metal instrument that bruised me severely at my lft shoulder. I told him it hurt my bone. Finally he let me up. I told him my ribs still hurt. He told me to keep a pillow handy cause coughing would hurt for at least several weeks. The receptionist said I had to pay w/a credit card and she enrolled me for more adjustments. I just wanted to get out of there so I went along with whatever she was doing, but I knew I could never go back there. When I got home, the pain in my ribs became unbearable. Its continued to be unbearable. My breathing is shallow, I can't move w/out screaming. I went to the hospital and my ribs are fractured. I'm told it may take months to heal. I have no insurance and I need pain pills to get through this. I've had to cancel all my plans, my swim club, I missed my daughter's birthday because the pain is relentless. I researched this chiropractor's license number and was told there was no record of it. I want all my medical bills paid, and compensation for my suffering or I take them to court for more. Its their choice.

I had a membership with The Joint Chiropractic ("Joint"), located in *********, MD at the *******. The member ship fee was $89/month. The membership entitled me as many as four treatments each month. It may be canceled at any time. It was my intention to cancel my membership prior to the charge in February 2024 because I had stopped visiting. I missed the date. A Joint employee told me so -- that it was too late to cancel and avoid the charge. My membership continued, unused. Prior to the March 2024 charge, I returned to Joint in person to make sure my membership was canceled. The employee told me that had already been done, so there was nothing more for me to do.From March 2024 through June 2024, Joint continued to debit my account. I didn't notice until the beginning of August 2024. When I did, I visited the Joint to straighten things out. A Joint employee canceled my membership, but could or would not reverse the charges for March through July, which amounted to $356. I was told that a manager would contact me, but that never happened. Today, July 17, 2024, I called the Joint again. I was told that these payments would not be returned. Once again, I was told that management would contact me. The employee's telephone demeanor led me to believe that, if I do receive a call from management, the result would be the same: my $356 is gone.

I went into The Joint Chiropractic in spring 2023. The staff convinced me to sign up for a $80/month package. I went a few times, but not often. This business has made cancelling a service I didn't want difficult and the "deal" I received in Spring 2023 has cost me about $1200. When you don't go in for adjustments, there is no outreach or consideration of pausing the membership. They auto-debit your account like an entertainment service (Netflix) instead of a health service. When I wanted to cancel my membership, I went on their website to cancel. The website said to call a 800 number to cancel. This number was for The Joint Chiropractic corporate office. After listening to the spiels, I was told to call The Joint office where I signed up to cancel. I called the office I went to and was told I need to return to the office to sign cancellation forms. I was out of town and had to wait until I return to cancel due to their policies. I will never return to this business again and will warn friends about their business practices.

I went in for a migraine. I explained I had calf, ankle and foot surgery, as I was asked about bandages. The Dr. set me up on the table and proceeded shift me about to straighten me out. I closed my eyes to relax, then he grabbed and abruptly yanked my foot and leg with his hands locked together. I had just warned him and yet he did it anyway. I was in immediate pain and when he finished I had to lie there as I was dizzy and feeling off. My surgery results were absolutely affected by this action. My progress in PT went down hill.My range of motion measurements have declined. I have a neurological condition and yanking on my limb, set it off and it’s never been the same. The nerve was just repaired in surgery and yet he chose to not hear me say that and pulled abruptly on it without regard for my safety. I’ve tried to months to reach out for help. I’ve heard from the owner with a few texts and his assistant saying she sent messages. The person by the name of Tiffany spoke to me once, she made excuses for not having contacted me. She said she wants all my medical records and asked me how much money I wanted. I explained this was not the way this matter should be handled. She told me she would talk to another Dr and have him call me, and I never heard from her or anyone again. I’ve waited 9 months to have this matter addressed while I’m suffering every day. This is extremely frustrating and very unprofessional. I don’t know how someone could be so irresponsible as to do this to a patient. For the record, this incident was immediately reported to my surgeon and PT. See texts.

I went to the joint at Lohmans plaza in Sacramento on December 30, around 10am, for an adjustment. I told the chiropractor to be gentle as I have back and hip problems. I asked him to please read the notes in my account on the computer. He spent about two seconds, reading my chart. The first move he made on me fractured one of my ribs. At that point I got up and left and spoke to the lady at the desk. I said he was extremely rough. She said some people like it that way. I’m 73 years old. I asked him to be gentle. I spoke with my doctor the following Friday and received any x-ray. It was confirmed my rib had an acute fracture. I called to speak with a manager the following Wednesday after my chiropractic appointment and was told they were not in the office. I again told the girl on the phone what the issue was. She said again to me that some people like it rough and drive hundreds of miles just to see this particular chiropractor. Again, I’m 73 years old, and asked him to go gentle. I’m very surprised the joint would hire someone like this.
