Ed K***** came to my house on July 27 at 8am and removed all fixtures from my kitchen sink. All parts were put in a cabinet under the sink. On Monday, Aug 1st I had to hire a different plumber (Johnson Plumbing) to reinstall the fixtures as Ed was not available to come back to do the reinstall. Upon their arrival the plumber layed out all the parts on the counter and there was a part missing that was needed in order to reinstall the faucet. I called Ed and explained the situation and he spoke to the Johnson Plumber to confirm the piece that was missing. Johnson Plumbing left and said they would have to charge me a call out fee. Ed was looking for the missing part and couldn’t find it so said he would purchase another part. When Ed arrived at my home, he brought another faucet to install but didn’t like it so then proceeded to go look for the missing part. While standing in my kitchen on Aug 1, he said he would reimburse me for the fee that Johnson Plumbing charged me for their visit of $135. He came back later Bon Aug 1 and provided the missing part. Johnson Plumbing came back on Aug 2 and finished the job. They invoiced me again for the work they had done. When I received the invoice for the Aug 1 visit fiasco (missing part, plumber had to leave) I forwarded it to Ed on Aug 2 via email and then texted him the morning of Aug 3 to let him know I had sent it. He is refusing to reimburse me for the $135. He continues to say the part was there (which clearly it was not). He is going back on his word and I think he is being dishonest. He created the problem (by losing the part) and is not taking responsibility for it. I’m not working and can’t let this company take advantage of me. He says he will only reimburse me for a portion of the $135 at his hourly rate which is less. This is completely unfair. He created the problem so should make it right by reimbursing me the entire amount of $135.
