I called Thrifty Roofs 8/28/23. Spoke to Brian M*** ******. I asked him if he could lift a section of patio roof that sank about 6 to 8 inches due to snow on roof. Brian and son Dane came to my home to look at patio roof. Brian said he would "Jack Roof, pour footer, install new 4x4 pressure treated post." I gave him $3,000.00 deposit. Brian said he would be back 8/30/23 to jack up patio roof. He never showed. I phoned him 10/23/23 he told me the job would be done by the end of the end of the week. 10/ 31/23 I wrote him a note asking for my $3,000,00 deposit refunded. I had my attorney call him 11/13/23 Brian told her he would mail the check out. On 11/28/23 I submitted a complaint to **** * ******. No response. 12/28/23 I called Brian ***** ********. I said it's been 4 months still waiting for my refund He said OH! He told me to call back in an hour. Low and behold his phone was turned off. I left a message about my $3,000.00 refund.Business response

Thrifty Roofs repaired the roof of my house in South Buffalo on July 21. I have purchased shingles from **** *****, but Ryan with Thrifty Roofs convinced me that the material that they use is a better quality. I agreed and decided to use my shingles for my shed in **** View. Ryan gave me an offer for the labor and collected 25 packages with shingles stored in my yard in South Buffalo with the promise to come and do the shed in **** **** the following week. I was naive, paid immediately the whole bill of $18,900 for the roof that he did in South Buffalo without to withhold the value of my material. Since he got the payment in the end of July till yesterday, I was trying to get from Ryan a date for the repair of the shed or to receive back my material. Ryan neither showed up to do the work nor returned my material. When you call him and he tells you that he will call you back in 5 minutes, don’t hold your breath. He even stopped answering the calls. I need Thrifty Roofs to return the stolen material. The value is more than $900.Business response

Upon getting in contact with *******, she was interested in getting her roof replaced on a rental property. She had already purchased shingles and materials on her own from **** *****. We agreed to do the job - but I expressed I was not comfortable using the roofing materials she purchased previously - and that we would only complete the job using our own. We came to the agreement that I would replace the roof using our materials that were more appropriate for the job. We ordered the new materials, and replaced the roof on the property for a total of $18,900.00. We made a further agreement with ******* that we would pick up the materials she already had purchased - and transfer them to her personal home in **** **** to replace her shed roof. Due to us being extremely busy with summer coming to an end - we were a few weeks behind and did not get to *******'s shed as quick as we promised. Since the complaint has been filed - we were able to complete *******'s shed with the materials we provided - we apologized for the delay in the project. The customer was satisfied with the completion of the job and the return of materials. She has agreed to remove the reviews that were posted.Customer response
