I placed an order on January 21st 2023 for 2 dog bowls for a total purchase price of $141.54. I was told the order would take 6 weeks. It has been 8 months and I haven't received the items. I have contacted the business 8 times over the last 8 months over email, and received no response. I have also sent messages on instagram and received no response.I was shocked and dissappointed when I came to BBB and saw there were many of the exact same issues filed by other customers. This business is a fraud and is stealing money from customers over and over again. This is a disgrace.Initial Complaint

On Fri, Feb 11, 2022, I made a purchase through Recreation Center's online store. I bought: (1) Yellow Flower Cup for $45.00 / ********** (1) *************************** for $45.00, (1) Lavender Speckle Flower Bowl for $52.00, and (1) **************************** for $52.00. My subtotal was $194, and including sales tax ($17.20), my total was $211.20.I paid with my card ending in **** and selected the option to pick up my order, when completed, at ******************************* studio at ******************************************************************. The purchase email instructed me, "Please wait for an email confirmation when your order is ready."I first reached out to *************************** from the email I made the purchase with -- ******************** at ************************************ on May 3, 2022, inquiring after my order, and received no response. I then messaged her privately at her ********* handle @************* on June 10, June 27, July 6, and August 4. I also commented on her June 11 ********* post, requesting a message about an unfulfilled order -- no response. I attempted to file a dispute with my bank, ***************** *****, but the request was ***********'s 120-day policy limit.*************************** is purposefully ignoring all my attempts to get in contact with her for a refund over SIX months after she failed to complete my order. I know I'm not the only one as I've seen other complaints and inquiries in her ********* comments that she subsequently deleted. I have kept all my receipts and photographic evidence of each occurrence so I have more than enough proof that she is practicing lousy business. I would really appreciate any assistance in having my $211.20 refunded. Thank you.Customer response

I purchased a mug on 3/8/22 and was charged on my credit card a total of $43.55 I never received a confirmation email and I requested to pick up the mug in person at the *** **** location. I have emailed the company and reached out via the company instagram and have no gotten any response about when the item will be ready and when I can pick it up. I would like the mug but I don't think I will get it so I would like to be reimbursed.Customer response

On August 10, 2021 I ordered and received a confirmation from Recreation Center for the purchase of two mugs, order #****. My credit card was charged $120.16. I emailed several times and direct messaged the owner on instagram. I finally received an email response on January 24, 2022 with a promise to refund the $120.16. My family has previously ordered several of her mugs with no problem. It is now March 29, 2022 and I have not received the reimbursement on my credit card. It is very frustrating to have to keep dealing with this for seven months. My hope is to receive the $120.16 refunded on my credit on ASAP. Thank you so much. At this time, I have not been contacted by Recreation Center regarding complaint ID ********. This is a very discouraging situation that the owner of Recreation Center has not refunded the $120.16 owed to me since I have not received the mugs I ordered in August 2021. I continue to expect a refund. Thanks to BBB for helping me with this.

On November 17, 2019, I purchased a $280 lava lamp from Recreation Center. It is order number #*****. I never received this lamp and have contacted the business several times, both via email and via the business Instagram. The latest communication was five days ago on March 24. I have attached copies of these communications, including me warning the business that I was going to file a complaint with BBB. I still haven't received the product and have only received one communication from the business in response. Then, further communication ceased and now it is radio silence. I would like either the product or a refund and have not been able to receive either in the years since purchase.
