Been charged multiple times for a subscription that I have not been able to cancel. My account shows no order activity and Quip customer support has not responded to any communication. This is just THEFT at this point. DO NOT SETUP A SUBSCRIPTION WITH THIS COMPANY.Review from Heather P

Quip NYC, **** receives ZERO stars. It appears that there is no way to cancel a subscription. As reported by other customers in the reviews, Quip cannot be reached by phone at ***-***-****. I sent emails to them on 8/16/2024 and again on 8/18/2024, neither of which has received any response. I have also tried logging in on their website but it says that I do not have any subscription even though they continue to charge me $16.96 every month. I suggest that customers file a dispute with their bank and file a report with the BBB.Quip NYC Inc. Response

At this time, while we do have a phone number for customers to leave voicemails, we do not provide outbound phone support. However, were always happy to assist via email. Additionally, Refill Plans have no commitment and can be canceled at any time. Instructions for cancellation are also available on our help page. That said, in reviewing our records, we see that the customer emailed us on August 18, 2024, to cancel their Refill Plan. We responded on August 20, 2024, requesting further information, as we were unable to locate their account initially. Once the necessary details were provided, we located their account and canceled the Refill Plan as requested. Horrible customer service. Cannot reach anyone to help me. They keep losing my orders. When I try the chat function, it keeps saying over and over that I need to log in, even though I am ALREADY logged in, and the link is broken. SCAMQuip NYC Inc. Response

The customer contacted us on July 22, 2024, regarding their May 12, 2024, refill order, which they had not received. We responded on July 23, 2024, informing them that the order had been marked as delivered to their previous address on file. We promptly sent out a reshipment to the customer's new address and relayed this information to them. While we can always be reached via our chat function, the customer can also reply to any order confirmation email or email us directly at ***************** If the customer has any further questions, they can reply to our open email thread or contact us at *********************Review from Sean C

I've been trying to access my account using Forgot Password, but when I get to my account there is no subscription information, ship to address, etc. Clearly something is wrong here. I found a toll free number but the greeting advised they don't staff the phone and to contact them via chat or email. I attempted both with no success. The chat session is AI and cannot get to a live representative. I have sent 4 emails and a message via LinkedIn. This is such poor customer service. My next step is contacting the consumer protection office.Quip NYC Inc. Response

As of July 2, 2024, we have fully transitioned our platform to Shopify. If the customer has not logged in to their quip account since June 25, 2024, they will need to activate their account. That said, the customer confirmed with us on July 22, 2024, they were able to gain access to their account. Quip is a terrible company to work with. They acquired a company called ******** in 2022 that was owned by ******* (based in Ireland). In February of ****, quip deemed the company as insolvent and stopped funding them due to lack of customer retention. Within the next week, all employees and contractors of the sister company were told to stop working because their salaries cant get paid. They have very little explanation into the issue, but still have patients and providers working on teledentistry cases. In addition to not paying the employees and contractors of *******, quip has locked all the computers with no further communication. This is the worst company Ive every worked for, and Im sure theyll tank in the future. Karma is on its way back to you.Review from Natalie A

Locked out of my account. Their password reset link does not work. They have no live customer service and will not respond to email. Also, was charged for a refill and 11 days later has not arrived. So frustrating!!!! Do NOT do business with this company. Terrible customer service..wait .there is NO customer service.Quip NYC Inc. Response

In addition to email, we also offer support via chat which is immediate support from our help team. That being said, we see that the customer wrote in on October 25, 2023, letting us know they were trying to gain access to their account, but were not receiving our "Reset Password" link. We wrote back to them on November 01, 2023, letting them know we've manually reset their password and provided them with their new password, but we did not receive a response back. Finally, as per our shipping policy, once a refill order has shipped, we estimate ***** business days for delivery. We show the customer's order shipped on October 23, 2023, and was marked as delivered on November 01, 2023. The customer can reply to our email or reach out to us at ******************** if they have any additional questions or concerns.Review from Anna M

They keep automatically charging me for refills I didnt want, and adding products I never put on my order. Extremely frustrating and costly. I like the tooth brushes, but tired of dealing with the nonsense of automatic refills I dont want, well have to switch to a different brand thats going to be more affordable in the long run.Quip NYC Inc. In reviewing our records, we do not show the customer has ever requested to cancel their Refill Plan. Refill Plans have no commitment and can be canceled at any time within the customer's profile area. That being said, we also do not make any edits to an account without expressed consent from the account holder. Finally, we've received the customer account and can confirm that they canceled their Refill Plan within their profile on October 22, 2023. Charge for product that never arrived. Website doesn't let you delete your credit card information, despite cancelling all plans. No responses by email, social media messages, nothing. Taking money from many and not delivering. Scamming.Quip NYC Inc. Response

The customer reached out to us on July 31, 2023, asking where their order that was shipped on June 16, 2023, was. We responded to them on August 04, 2023, letting them know that per their tracking information, their order was most likely lost in transit. At that time, a reshipment or a full refund of $17.28 was offered. The customer responded back to us letting us know they preferred a refund and requested to deactivate their account. A full refund of $17.28 was processed on August 04, 2023, and should reflect back into the customer's original method of payment within **** business days. On August 08, 2023, we deactivated their account and removed their payment details, and confirmed with the customer. They added toothpaste to my subscription for months without my consent. I never noticed because its my wifes toothpaste but incredibly shady of them. Im canceling the whole thing and hope no one ever buys their shady toothbrush again.Quip NYC Inc. Response

In reviewing the customer's account, we show that a Refill Plan was created on March 21, 2022, which included one All-******************* Soft-Bristle Brush Head + AAA battery, and one Large Mint Toothpaste. That being said, we do not have the ability to place orders on a customer's behalf. Refill Plans are also completely customizable while creating a plan, and after a Refill Plan has been created. In the meantime, we can confirm the customer's Refill Plan was successfully canceled on July 04, 2023. I purchased a quip ************** Toothbrush, which failed less than two weeks into ownership. I tried their troubleshooting steps but the brush failed to ever power on again.When I received a replacement brush, it would not pair with the quip app (the first one paired just fine). The app would immediately crash after it identified the brush (running on a modern Android flagship phone). I submitted another support case which resulted in them letting me know to watch for a software update in their app, but no other resolution.After a week or two I gave up and asked for a refund since I had a working brush for less than 14 days. Nope, quip won't refund you because all that shipping time eats into the 30 day return window as well. It doesn't matter if they sent you non-working brushes not once, but twice, your return window starts on the order date.I had a poor experience with both the quip ************** Toothbrush product and the support teams I dealt with. I would advise against buying from quip unless you are prepared for an exercise in frustration and disappointment.Quip NYC Inc. Response

The customer placed their initial order on March 04, 2023. On April 13, 2023, they reached out to let us know they were experiencing issues with their toothbrush and requested a replacement. After further troubleshooting, a replacement was sent out on April 19, 2023. On May 04, 2023, the customer reached out to report issues pairing their toothbrush to their account, after further troubleshooting, our team let them know that any fixes will likely come in the form of an App update but advised that they use their toothbrush as normal and be on the lookout for an update on the app. On May 31, 2023, they asked for a refund for their toothbrush. However as their order was passed 30 days, we let them know on June 02, 2023, that while we cannot help with a refund due to our 30-day return policy, we'd be more than happy to help with a replacement of their choosing should they not wish to move forward with a replacement quip ********************* Toothbrush. Our offer was declined on June 05, 2023, and their account was deactivated as requested. The customer can follow up with us at ******************** if they have any additional questions.
