My 2014 *** ******** traction control light kept turning on and off, causing all sorts of lights on the dash to turn on, while also jerking the car. My mechanic ran the codes with a code reader and the code read that it was the wheel hub assembly and sensor. My mechanic was worried and told me I better bring in into the dealership to double check with them. Once I brought it into the dealership I was told the transmission needed to be replaced, costing around $5,000. After three months (waiting for a transmission that "said it would only take two weeks") we got our vehicle back and paid $6,060. After driving it about 100 miles, it started doing the exact same thing that we had it sent to *** for. Traction control light, tons of other lights and bucking of the vehicle. I called and spoke with Bob (manager) of the service department. Had it towed to *** and was told it was the wheel hub assembly and we were responsible for the tow and the repair. When I told him this is what my vehicle just sat here for 3 months getting fixed and clearly the immediate problem was not fixed, he told me that the transmission code came up before and not the wheel hub code. I know for sure the wheel hub code came up before because my mechanic told me it did prior to it going to ***. He told me his technician drove it and it was slipping in reverse and drive. It was not slipping, that was the traction control turning on and off bucking the car. I drove it there. Bob would not let me speak to anyone higher than him, said he was the manager and I asked to speak to GM he said he was the highest person there was. I told him this was unacceptable when they never fixed the immediate problem we had brought it in for, as it was still doing it. He did try to "rectify" the situation by saying he felt bad and offering the wheel hub bearing at wholesale and a "discount on the labor". I did not accept this because clearly the transmission was not the fix to our problem nor did it need to be done.
