My 85 year old mother was contacted by this company telling her that her chimney cap was under warranty and they just wanted to look at it for no cost. She said yes and they made an appointment to come by. They came to the house on July 22nd 2022. Naturally, the chimney was in need of repair, as told to my mother by the salesman. They said that the liner had been installed incorrectly which led to the chimney needing repair and a new liner and cap necessary. The salesman proceeded to push the chimney off the roof while my mother and a neighbor with her small children nearby, watched. He than told her he had an opening the next day to do the necessary repair work for $4,000.00. They came to the house, replaced the portion of the chimney they pushed off the roof, using her own bricks and left without completing the job stating they did not have the parts on them. I made numerous calls to this business, finally getting the salesman on the phone almost a week later to have him tell me what was going on. I asked why he billed in full on a job not finished, I asked why his invoice did not reflect the work that was done, he claimed he sealed the remaining chimney. I was uneasy with this company and called in someone for a second opinion. I was told that while the workmanship was good, his price for the same work would have been $500-$600.00. I called back the company and tried to reason with them regarding their price to no avail. In the meantime, I came across the bill from the company that 5 years earlier installed the liner and cap on my chimney, only to find out it was one in the same. My signed contract with them from June of 2017 gave me a 10 year warranty on the chimney work and a lifetime warranty on the liner. I have been reimbursed by this company my $4,000.00 however, my chimney remains without a liner or a cap. I do not trust this company to do the work. I need to have this job completed.Customer response
