On October 22. 2024 Christian from PMT Solar came to the door to tell me I am entitled to credits on my ******** **** bill due to government funded solar farms. He represented that he was sent out by the government to make people aware of these credits as ******** **** will not do so without signing up for it as they do not have the right to do so. He was certainly convincing but when I provided my account information he now asks me to sign the “agreement” to get the credits but does not at all say anything about this being an actual contract for anything. He says the credits are good for 25 years. Upon receiving the contract via email I read that PMT will be paid for example, $90 of every $100 credited to my bill. He represented that he was simply proving awareness of this program and that I would simply get a credit. He was deceptive and I want the contract voided ASAP. I thought I was getting an entitled credit to my energy bill. At no time did he ever tell me that there would be a payment to PMT for anything. He made his visit to my house sound like it was essentially on behalf of a government program. I do not want to participate as what was “sold” to me was not what I got when I got this contract.

We reach out to the customer after we got this complaint from the BBB. Our reps take information from the customer for the services we provide, the information is the same information they have With the utilities. Nancy never reached out to us but we sent her and email.

Two sales representatives came to my door on October 08, 2024. The first informed me that I was owed some kind of solar credit, which I have been paying via my utility bill. They asked to see a copy of my utility bill, but it seemed shady, so I made an excuse to have him leave my apartment without interacting further. Not 10 minutes later, a second (different) sales representative knocked on my door, expressing the same offer. Unfortunately, I had assumed they would keep coming until I entertained them. As a young renter, I assumed that they were sent on behalf of my utility company as they had a lamented copy of a bill from my utility bill in hand. The representative talked to me for a bit, and at the end, they quickly scrolled through a few pages of a contract without explaining or giving me time to read the document, just asking for my signature. Luckily, the contract was emailed to me, and after reading it, I realized that I did not want to participate in any part of a program offered by the company. The process for getting unsuspecting people to sign on is very scam-like, and I want nothing to do with any part of this. I am within three days of my contract termination; I have sent emails and called service numbers but have yet to receive proof of cancelation. Like many others leaving complaints, I want to ensure that my information will not stolen by this company and that I am removed from any part of this company or its partners' programs

Door to door salesman from the solar company, even after I explained that my son handles my business, persisted until I agreed to say yes into my phone to switch to his company. Im not good with my phone it’s too confusing, he insisted to search my phone for a password which he apparently found, further concerning me now. I called and left a message last night at the number provided explaining ( same night as order) that I’m not interested and for them to call back to confirm the transaction was cancelled in the morning. No call back. We called the number and it again said we missed there business hours. We finally got a call back, and they said they have no record of the transaction and that they would text us how to email them, no text yet. My son feels it’s all very suspicious and the fact that there is no paperwork, reliable way to reach them makes him feel like I’m a victim of elder abuse. He also said there is a law that allows me to cancel the transaction within 3 days he believes but is frustrated there doesn’t appear to be a way to do that? I do not want their service. We filled out what we thought was a complaint with you last night but understand that this is correct process you need and are trying again. I’m hoping you can help me, if not my son said maybe law enforcement or the NYS Ag office but hoping this can be resolved simply by the company and why we are trying you first. I feel violated by this company and very nervous. Thank you for trying to help me

I personally spoke to this person today. They must of called several times when after office hours and never left a voicemail or emailed us. After speaking with them today I told him he isn’t in the system and I will text him or her personally providing my email so we can contact them if something, shows up in the system. They were fine with me doing so.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I apologize if this is a duplicate, we do not feel this is resolved, and my phone crashed so not sure the first response was sent…bottom line we have no validation that any business transaction that may have occurred has been canceled, and my mothers information has been deleted. They haven’t  even acknowledged that the salesperson works for them? My mother’s anxiety is very high since this occurred and this needs to be resolved immediately. We received NO text as promised, we have NO email information and they are difficult at best to contact by phone. Be great to finalize this so we can put it behind us. Regards, ******** ******o

Hello this is from Owner Ryan McManus. Clinton Jackson new support manager was on this case and had hard time with our CRM System we have internal Hubspot and we have Client under Program we don't sell under our Brand Arcadia. Clinton spoke to the customer by email and phone and they came across very unprofessional during the call in there car. Wouldn't provide any information to help us research this account. To find out this account wasn't even processed because they didn't complete QA TPV Verification Call. They could of responded to email by Client Arcadia or called them directly this isn't account we directly manage and that was explained during phone call as well. Contractor was spoken to and responded this account wasn't being processed as he walked away during the visit that is why the TPV was not complete.

Guy came to door and said that I was due a credit on my ***** bill. He stated that he needed a copy of my bill to get me the credit. After providing him that, he tried to get me to sign a contract without reading it. After reading it, I declined to sign or participate. I am worried because he has a photo of my bill. I want to make sure it is not used for anything.

I was told PTM Solar puts a credit on my bill because the Public Service Commission requires ******** **** to credit customers because ******** **** was allied to build solar fields in my area. This is a lie. PTM Solar is just a solar company, they not affiliated with the public service commission

Sales rep came to my residence, he was nice but did not explain what it actually was, nor what I had signed up for. Swiped through all of the information that required signatures. falsified what this actually was and did not inform me that anything would need to be paid for. I emailed customer service requesting termination on the same day I signed it. After looking online that this is a scam and reading the “contract” I was not given the proper information. This is not “buyers remorse” your staff need to stop evading the truth and taking advantage of people. I have not received an answer back from customer service yet. Again, it is very obviously within the 3 business days requesting the termination and I need it to be cancelled. Thanks

This man showed up at my door with a PTM Solar lanyard and ID, his name was Richard L******. He told me the company could save me 10% off my electric bill and I thought it was shady from the start but I sent him a copy of my bill. Idk why they needed a copy of the entire bill, I suspect he or they are going to try to scam me. I’ve tried calling their “corporate” number, only to have no one pick up their phone at any of the extensions. I tried leaving a message on their answering machine only to have it tell me there was an “error” in leaving the message. Very sketchy and worrisome. I am worried they will try to use my information to ruin my credit or something. Please I just want them to cancel my subscription with them and contact me with proof they’ve cancelled me.

Someone came knocking on my door telling me I was entitled to credits for the solar panels going in around the area. When I told them I wasn’t interested they became pushy saying I’m entitled to the money and can get 10% back from my electric bill. After hearing this I started to go thru with the details they now have my email account number and phone number and have read of numerous scams from these people online. I did not sign anything but have read that others didn’t and have been still switched without their knowledge I do not want anything from this company and want to be removed from any service they are trying to push on me without my authorization
