On February 17th I searched FWD website for "Oilcloth". The picture on the website shows long rolls of shiny fabric The website does mention that it is on a canvas material, but that means nothing if it has an oilcloth coating and shine on one side. I ordered the product. What I received is a very heavy canvas fabric with a ***** coating of a thin rubber type material that is not even close to "Oilcloth", it does not have a shine. I cannot use the cloth form my project, it is of no use to me. I contacted FWD by email and phone, and received an email stating that, not only will I have to pay for the return postage, but I will only receive $9.28 for a refund. Their reasoning is that the discription says "Canvas." Canvas can be coated in oilcloth. The word canvas did not tell me the cloth does not have a shine. Fabric Wholesale Direct Order#********* I ordered a package via online and it was delivered to ********* in Rivergrove, instead of **** N. ********** on December 11, 2023. The ***** driver states it wasn't delivered to my home due to safety reasons, which is untrue. I received several items to this address (****************************) from the same company (Fabric Wholesale Direct) before this situation occurred. I had to pay an additional $57.28 extra in shipping free to have my package delivered in two days to **** N. **********, but it was delivered to ********* instead in RiverForest. Fabric Wholesale Direct is not willing to refund me directly. The ***** gentleman stated to receive my refund back, Fabric Wholesale Direct would have to file a complaint to ***** first, and then Fabric Wholesale Direct should be able to refund me. He stated this is the only way possible due to ***** being under contract with Fabric Wholesale Direct. I am a senior citizen and I feel like I have been misused by Fabric Wholesale Direct for an additional shipping fee without the item being shipped to me directly. Please help.Customer response

Fraudulent internet sales. Wrong item sent. Multiple (approx. 13) email interactions with *** in customer support. Item purchased was: cotton polyester broadcloth banquet rectangular table covers comes folded and prepackaged in one size: 90" x156". What I received was a torn (not hemmed) piece of fabric measuring 45" x 224".It is not a tablecloth. It is not hemmed. It was not prepackaged, it was folded and stacked along with the other items in the order. I was interrogated from the time of my complaint until the last email on 12-19-22. I was asked to measure the fabric, send them photos of the fabric, and answer if there was a seam in the fabric (no).Despite all my answers being contrary to the description of the item I purchased, *** repeatedly wrote that an investigation had been done and that what I had was in fact the correct item and could not be returned nor would my money be refunded. I repeatedly requested a refund, but was basically told I didn't know what I was talking about, that the right item had been sent (absolutely not true), and no action would be taken to correct the error.I would like my money refunded and prepaid return shipping if they want the incorrect item returned to them.Initial Complaint

I ordered 2 boxes of assorted remnant fabric from Fabric Wholesale Direct and paid for it online. It was worth $99.99 free shipping. After a few days they sent me an advise that it was already shipped. Then the next day an advise that it was delivered. I checked the tracking number and it says shipped to my address at around noon time. I went to the package room of my apartment around 5pm and there was none for me. I immediately reported this to Fabric Wholesale and a rep said to wait 5 days. I waited a week and still no boxes. I reached out to them yesterday and asked for a refund. I ordered 55 yards of canvas (one piece, I specified) from Fabric Wholesale Direct. My order ********** was created and received.After some time, when I used a part of the roll, it was found out that:1. The order was sent in 2 pieces: one about 47 yards and another (rolled internally) a separate piece of 132 inch in length.2. The total length of canvas in the order appears to be slightly over 50 yards, with 55 yards ordered. With all imaginable changes in length and difference in measurements, the total size should not be so much different.I told Fabric Wholesale Direct support about the discrepancy. They asked me to provide the following "to resolve this issue":1. A picture of the packing slip (a white slip received inside the order)2. A picture of the fabric/roll received As the roll is been used already (I didn't expect the problem) the picture "of the fabric/roll received" is impossible to make. I'm quite sure they also have a soft copy of their packing slip somewhere in the warehouse management system. I suspect their requests were made to delay or make impossible the issue resolution.I had some e-mail conversation with their support (****, no last name) with no much result.
