We purchased two tickets to the Ommegang Cake concert (not including camping add ons or processing fees) for $110 each. We drove 4.5 hours away to attend the show. We waited an hour in 90 degree sun without shade (and carrying all of our camping gear) to enter the show. After only a few songs, it started storming and we were told to wait in our cars and then the show would resume. After a while it stopped raining and we returned despite no communication from DPS. No one knew what was going on. We noticed people packing up equipment and was told by staff that the show was cancelled. There was no communication or announcement from DPS other than a social media post that no one saw until the next day because there is no cell service there. In addition, beer tickets were not refunded. DPS knew well in advance about storm warnings and chose not to have proper plans in place or communication with their patrons. Instead it was a money grab by DPS. I would like a 50% refund of my show tickets ($110), which is more than fair since I did not receive nearly 50% of the experience promised.Business response

Received a call from the business and this was relayed Unfortunately, due to the weather the concert had to be shut down due to nearby thunder and lightning. We must take in consideration the safety of the public. Please know that the band played the majority of their set before we shut down. However, if the consumer would like to reach out to discuss in further details, please have them call Mr. Dan Smalls at *********. I would be willing to speak to anyone in a civil matter.
