Nov 1 st,I had an appointment with the service department to repair a gasket which came undone from my vehicle back tail gate. At this time they called me later and said the part which they ordered was damaged and couldn't fix it then. They asked me to leave the vehicle overnight and they would overnight the replacement to fix it the following day. Since I needed the vehicle ,I asked to have an appointment the following Friday (Nov 8 th ). On Nov 8 th I brought the vehicle back to have the repair completed. I was told that I had no appointment and the part was sent out for painting and hasn't been returned yet. The service rep asked me who I talked to but I didn't remember. He told me that he or the other two service reps didn't make me an appointment and I didn't talk to them. Although I was given a free oil change and tire rotation for the inconvenience by someone who worked there. That service rep said he would check on the part and call me later in the day ( Friday Nov 8 th ) and reschedule an appointment to finish the job.He never called me and it is now 9:45 on Monday Nov 11. I feel liked I 've been called a liar by this service rep and although they seem to apologize for everything else ,I want to have this repair finished. I have never had so many problems at any other **** Dealer before.Business response

Mr. **** and I spoke this afternoon about his frustration with the tone and lack of communication between himself and the Van Bortel Service Advisor regarding the part installation on his wife's car. I apologized and let him know that the Service Manager and General Manager are involved and have counseled the Service Advisor so that this situation doesn't happen to another customer. The update on the part being painted was given to Mr. ****. It is expected to return to the dealership from the body shop either Wednesday 11/13/24 or Thursday 11/14/24. The Service Manager and/or the Service Advisor involved will contact Mr. **** to bring the vehicle in Friday to have the painted part installed. We ended the call agreeing that there are no hard feelings on either side and that we all would like to continue our business relationship. Mr. **** is welcome to come to Van Bortel Chevrolet for any and all of his service and sales needs.Customer response
