Booked National Touring act in good faith for a New Years Eve event through BookingEntertainment.com On October 25 - executed contract for $60K and wired $40K to *********************.com Once transfer was complete, received minimal follow-up about the band thus limiting event logistics, press and overall event success.As contracted, ********************* never provided contact information for the band Once we, not through *********************, established connectivity with the hired performers, we learned that they were being paid $40K for the performance and that their set was only 75 minutes, as opposed to the contracted 90-minutes. Standard booking fees should not exceed 10% yet we paid 33% for the chosen entertainment.Business response

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to refute this complaint. What was stated in the complaint was simply not true and I will be happy to disprove her allegations. First and foremost, the amount of money that we made on this show was actually less than a 10% commission. As you can see from the attached texts, contract and the attached wire receipt information, we received $40,000 and sent out $35,000. As the balance was paid night of, you can see that we made $15,000 less than ****************** claims that we did. Whatever arrangement the band has with the management company we contracted with to book the band is not something that I am privy to, but it was a bold and assumptive statement for ****************** to state that we took $20,000. That is not how we do business and is a false accusation. Furthermore, this is EXTREMELY damaging to our longstanding reputation and I insist that it is not posted anywhere on the internet as this would find up seeking legal damages from both ****************** and the BBB.
Furthermore, we provided ****************** with the contact information she requested (see attached text messaging). Prior to that, we did everything we could to help her get whatever contracts, promotional material and information she requested. (see attached text messaging) I am not sure why she is accusing us of doing anything less than that. Once we knew (*******) was not helping her, in the matter she needed, we stepped in to push ******* to get ****************** the info she needed.
I trust that this should put to rest any and all false accusations in her complaint. That being said, as a paying member of the BBB, I trust that this complaint will be removed from our record, will not be found anywhere on the internet, and our A+ rating of over 27 years in business will continue.
