AVO Shopping was a service that I, my wife and my son used for the last few years. We had all purchased store credit on each of our accounts.AVO suddenly without notice shut down their operations in residential buildings such as ours. On April 28, AVO explained that they would refund unused store credit to our credit cards within **** business days.While they did on one of the three accounts, they still have not done so on our other 2 accounts, despite many of our attempts to contact them by phone and email. Please see the attached email chain.They have since shut down their phone and email for the residential service but are still operating an office service.They owe us hundreds of dollars in store credit that we purchased, but the exact amount is difficult to ascertain given that they have shut off all account access for residential users.Customer response

I received an email on 4/28/2022 that the Avo Now grocery delivery service closed their residential service without any advance notice whatsoever. I have a credit balance with the business, but when I tried to view my account so I could see exactly how much credit was left, I was unable to access my account. When I inquired about it on 4/29/2022, I was told that I would receive a refund in **** business days. Today is the 16th business day and I still have not received my refund. When I attempted to contact the business today, I got a mail failure notice. I think it's terrible that they closed without notice, blocked access to my account, failed to refund my credit balance, and now have closed their contact email. I can't even say exactly what my balance was because they blocked access to my account. I know it's somewhere between $30-$40 or so. Is there any recourse?Initial Complaint

I have placed an order (#******) including the ************* Whole Bean Lorimer Dark Roast Blend' on 2/24/2022. The delivery I received was ground coffee, not ************** that I bought. So I asked for a replacement in email (as their customer service number can never be answered) and they sent an replacement order ( #******) on 2/25/2022, then I figured out the second order is still ground coffee, so I reached to them again. They apologized and sent another replacement order (#******) on 2/26/2022, and it's still ground coffee. I reached to them again to ask for a refund instead of replacement, they stopped replying and ghosted (after I emailed them twice and they do not accept any phone calls).Business response

We reviewed the complaints and notes regarding this matter. The customer did purchase ************ Whole Bean Lorimer Dark Roast Blend on March 23, 2022 (order # ******) which was delivered the next day. We were made aware by the customer that the incorrect item was sent and a replacement was sent (order # ******).
The same mistake was made again (order # ******) as our warehouse team accidentally made an error during receiving by placeding the incorrect item back in theat packing location. After receiving two notifications back to back from the customer, our system thought they were duplicates and closed out the last two tickets that ************ sent. This resulted in our reps not seeing did not see them, and going unanswered. We will be issuing a refund for this product immediately to ************ and will also be adding a credit of $10 for the inconvenience caused.Avo sincerely regrets any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

I placed on order with Avo Now AKA Avo on February 11, 2022. Avo is a company that advertises same-day grocery delivery to residential buildings in various cities in the **. My order was partially delivered today and I am missing 6 one gallon jugs of distilled water from my order. After receiving my partially delivered order on February 11, 2022 I received a text message saying that my order was complete and that I had received 7 bags of groceries when in fact I had only received one bag of groceries. **************** is non-existent or always has severe delays when responding. You can never speak with anyone on the phone...only via text or email. Very poor. What reputable company doesn't allow you to speak to another human? Unreal. This is not customer service. I have been charged for something that has not been delivered to me. I require my grocery order to be delivered in full ASAP.Business response

We are so sorry that this customer did not receive their full order. We understand the frustration that this caused and we truly would like to make this correct. Our team has been doing our best to respond to customers as quickly as possible during an extremely high volume time. We have followed up with the customer on February 12th and February 17th in order to find out which items were missing from the order and to help take care of it, but have not heard back from the customer.Initial Complaint

Order #******.Ordered 2 items on I/17/22. Charged $10.49 for the items. On delivery day, 1/1822 received text and email stating that the order has been delivered. It was never delivered. Contacted customer service and received apologetic emails and texts button no action on either delivery or requested refund.Customer response
