My daughter, ************************* rented a room in an apartment through *** (*** ******************** ********* ** *** *** Room *) for a 3 month lease and I am the guarantor on the lease. The apartment was supposed to be furnished with a bed, desk, chair, nightstand, lamp, rug, pictures on wall and AC. When she moved in on 4/1/22 the room only had a bed and chair and the walls were dirty and in need of painting. She contacted *** immediately to report this. The room was repainted within days but the missing furniture has yet to be delivered. She has emailed, phoned them multiple times and I spoke to an agent yesterday. *** keeps saying that the situation will be resolved but they do not follow through on what they say. We are asking for the missing furniture to be delivered, an AC for the room provided and a credit to her account for going on three weeks without the furniture that was promised and advertised.Business response

Hello
This is a response for the customer complain.
The tenant was provided the furnitures and even had a reimbursement on her monthly rent.
There was a delay from the furniture provider IKEA as they did not deliver on time the order and we have always been contacting IKEA customer service and ******* for the situation.
We offered to get the item ourself from the warehouse but they said that that was not possible and this is why the delivery was not in our hands.

As their response noted, they did provide the missing furniture and gave a credit on the rent.
However, we are still waiting for them to provide an air conditioner as promised and advertised. My daughter has been living there for 6 weeks without an air conditioner and has no windows in her bedroom Thank you.In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

AYA ******* took $200 from me as a membership fee in order to fill an application for a room, they denied me the room and won't return my $200 even though I can no longer be a member and use there so services, so the membership fee is redundant. This is bad business practice and incredibly unfair.Business response

Hi,
During the application process we have a membership fee of $200 which all the tenants need to pay, that amount is not refundable, this is made clear in the document when they sign.
The person in this case has read and signed and then came back to us requiring something that she has already read and signed.
We are attaching the document as well.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becauseIt is NOT made clear that the $200 is non refundable, its in a fine print and the wording alludes to a full refund, the $200 your keeping for a membership fee is redundant after you rejected my application within hours of me applying, therefore you sold me service under false pretense which i cannot use.In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

The $200 dollar of membership fee is explained in the lease agreement and at its sections.
This thing gets explained before applying and is explained in the lease as well.
