On May 9 2022 I hired this company CNL construction and maintenance to repair my deck I spoke with the person name Corry he came over and told me what they can do this job end of May I gave him deposit of $640 on May 16 They supposed to show up on May 25 I called and confirmed he told me what they should be there in a few days from this moment I never heard from him again A week later I finally found him again he told me he had a family emergency and somebody will contact me shortly It’s already three weeks I cannot reach him not with the phone call or text no respond! I got this company from ***** list I spoke with them and they told me he sign himself out in June from the ***** list! I would like to get my deposit back and I would really appreciate it if you will tell me what I can do in this situation thank you!Business response

We did an estimate on May 9th as stated by the client. We received an acceptance of our estimate and collected a deposit of 640 on May 19th. The job was scheduled to be completed on June 24 we unfortunately did have an emergency and had to reschedule. The time frame to reschedule was not satisfactory. A refund has been Authorized and issued. Refunds may take 7-10 buisness day to process.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We have not received the refund promised by the contractor. They just texted us today and again asked for another 7-10 days to mail the check. Unfortunately we will not remove the complaint until we receive a refund. Regards, ******* *****Business response
