We paid him to create a retaining wall to that our yard would be able to properly drain and that our 20-foot banks wouldn't erode. As of now, it is 50% complete, and most of it has been done wrong. I have had companies come and look at the work that needs to be done, and some of them won't take the job because it was not done correctly. We are looking to get our money back completely, plus the additional costs of having it done correctly. This job was started in May of 2022, to date we have paid around 85,000, plus additional costs that he needed us to do, like have trees removed; not in the beginning, but he would stop working and say he couldn't continue unless we took the trees down, this added an additional 15,000. He told us he would come out to fix it and then never made appointments, and then his last excuse was that "Ok sorry for not responding sooner guys but my son has been in the hospital and out for a few days and many appointments to try to find out what’s going on ! He has unofficially been diagnosed with epilepsy and he has had two major seizures in past few days ! I did not want it to come to this and had all intentions of trying to make you guys happy but I will not be able to finish your spring work at this time as he needs constant monitoring for a few weeks ! If you choose to have someone else to finish your work I completely understand ! The balance owed is more than enough to cover the cost of finishing round stone installation, sod installation, step adjustments, and raking and seeding ! You may have to add something for removal of the pile of wood chips and dirt from the tree stump removal ! And also the damage from the machinery that the tree people used ! Once again I’m sorry for the inconvenience and at this point I would completely understand if you had to have another contractor wrap it up !"
