I made a pre order March of 2021 with a September 2021 ship date for a enamel Dutch oven. I made several inquiries on updates and Liz responded February 2022, I have sent a dozen emails for a when my product will ahip with no response. I’m out $260 with no product. So far this company is a complete fraud.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: December 23rd, 2020 Amount paid for product: 338.99$ USD What the company committed to provide me: 10.5" Cast Iron Frying Skillet Estimated date of delivery: May 28th, 2021 Order number: **** I order a cast iron frying skillet for a family member. We had to preorder the item in able to get it delivered by May (estimated date). I had called their company due to the fact that I never received a shipping date, A woman named Liz "is" handling my order. She explained to me that due to covid, everything had been delayed and that they will be back up and running, totally understandable. I received an email from Liz on June 6th, 2021 explaining how someone is now helping her with all the emails due to the covid shutdown. I have sent multiple emails to Liz such as, August 27th, 2021, November 16th, 2021, and again on February 24th, 2022. I have yet to receive an email or even a call back. On their website, it states that they are not receiving phone calls, nor are they receiving messages on social media (*********.) At this point, the only form of communication with Borough Furnace is by email, and they do not even answer anyone. My bank referred be to this company and I do hope I can get my money back, as well as you are able to get in hold with them. When you google their company there are 1.5 star for their reviews, and there are multiple customers with the exact same problem as me, so at this point it has been almost 2 1/2 years, and I am extremely frustrated and will never buy from their company again. I purchased on 03/09/2021 Enameled Dutch Oven, 5.5 QT × 1 Ship Date 7/31/21 $240.00 Shipping $19.90 Total $259.90 USD I was promised delivery/ship date on 07/31/2021. I received one blanket email on 08/27/2012 that they are behind in production due to Covid etc. They don’t have a phone contact and “You will hear from our team on an individual basis, if you haven’t gotten a note from us already!” I’ve received no further contact since August 2021 ( I’ve sent repeated emails)Initial Complaint

I placed an online order for an enameled Dutch oven on 2/14/21 with an expected ship date of June 30, 2021. Paypal was used for payment. June 30, 2021 came and went without any communication from Borough Furnace. I knew there were production delays due to Covid per customer postings online. I finally received a blanket email from Borough Furnace on 8/27/21 which acknowledged my open order was running late but I would receive further communication from them about my order. I have yet to receive further communication from Borough Furnace. I sent an email using their preferred email address on 1/27/22. No response. I filed a case with PayPal on 2/4/22 which was denied because it was not filed w/in 180 days of purchase. The PayPal case filing with PayPal was sent to Borough Furnace. Again, no response from Borough Furnace. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and was patient in waiting for the product. I would really like a USA made Dutch oven but this is ridiculous. The lack of communication is unacceptable. I understand times have been difficult as a result of the pandemic but that doesn't give Borough Furnace a pass.Initial Complaint

I placed an order with this company on May 22, 2021. I had to prepay for an item that was supposed to ship by Aug 31, 2021. I have never received my order, nor will the company respond to my emails or phone calls. At this point, all I want is my money refunded.Initial Complaint

I placed and paid for order #**** in April 2021 with a delivery date of July 2021. The delivery date has come and gone; I've reached out by email on a couple of instances and received a reply August 12th saying they were between customer service support and a blanket response August 27th saying the delays were COVID related. I sent another email in December and have yet to receive a response. I feel I've been more than patient, but since there is no longer even the pretense of a viable business I have to admit this appears to be a scam. Unfortunately the business model deployed by Borough Furnace has the tragic consequence of having customers think twice before they support another small independent business.Initial Complaint

I placed an order for a Dutch oven back in January of 2021. I paid well over $200 and received notice that this will arrive approximately in 6 months or by May 28, 2021. Did not receive anything! I have contacted the company several times with no response. At this point I have been married and moved out of state ...this is how long it has been!! I purchased a cast iron skillet from Borough Furnace's website on March 21, 2021 for $319.90 with an estimated ship date of 7/31/21. I contacted Borough Furnace for a delivery estimate in late July and never received a response. In late August, they sent out a generic email to customers letting them know they are behind and they will follow up on an individual basis directly via email to provide a new estimated ship date. That email never arrived. I have followed up with them via email multiple times since then, and I have not received a reply. If you are waiting on something from them and it is past the estimated ship date, I would HIGHLY recommend disputing it with your credit card company as soon as possible AND filing a report with the FTC so that they can get involved. I run a small business that involves making things and I know how unfortunate delays can be. What isn't excusable is not responding to customers when they try to follow up on said delays.Initial Complaint

Ordered and paid for enameled dutch oven in January 2021 and have not received my order or a refund. No reply to calls and emails since August 2021. They had some manufacturing issues in March 2021 and I was patient up until when they stopped communicating. Really a shame.Initial Complaint

In February of 2021, I ordered and paid for a dutch oven. Delivery was supposed to be in August. When that didn't happen, I contacted the company via email. They gave some reasons (excuses) such as COVID-19 and supply chain issues and indicated that the product should ship in November. Now, we are half way through December and not only haven't I received the product, they have stopped responding to correspondence at all.
