  Sikdar Construction (License #******** was hired to do a gut remodeling of a bathroom at *******************. I am filing this complaint against him because the work quality, installation and renovation of the work the company has done on this bathroom so far has been very poor. Below is a list of the issues that have not been resolved:The wall behind the toilet was extended to far and I cant turn the water value. The toilet and the vanity cant be installed until this is corrected.The ******* used a dirty brush when painting the wall leaving debris on the painted wall. The walls need to be repainted The plasterer did not properly sand the wall. As a result, there are specks of debris in the wall. The wall needs to be replastered The metal molding around the shower stall was cut too short and needs to be replaced The door saddle was cut too short and needs to replace with one that fits the door jam.The sink and vanity have not been installed Dont know if the shower head system has been tested before the tile in the shower stall was installed. The tub faucet and drain and not been installed yet The floor molding needs to be replaced because it is not the correct molding for a bathroom floor. The holes around the newly installed medicine cabinet need to be repaired.The wrong grout color was used when they regrouted the area around a floor tile that had to be reinstalled. As a result, the grout around the floor tiles do not not match.***** ****** the owner of the Sikdar Construction was made aware of these problems. He has repeatedly said these issues would be fixed, but as of today, nothing has been done. The project remains unfinished. The bathroom is unusable. Because he has stopped work and has not sufficiently responded to any forms of communication, I have been forced to obtain estimates from other contractors so the work can be completed.I am hoping that your office can assist me with this matter.

  At this time, I have been contacted directly by Sikdar Construction regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

   Skikdar Construction resumed the work on August 18th.  The walls were replastered and repainted. The vanity and sink were installed on September 1st.  However, because of a leak with the cold water valve and shower head system, the sink had to be disconnected and removed.  Our ceiling is collapsing from the leak.

  We had to hire an outside plumber to correct this issue.  He installed valves to turn the water off at an additional cost of $375.00.

  We discovered another leak yesterday which is preventing the work from being completed.  We have to wait until the plumber is able to determine the source of the new leak.
