Purchased a set of tires on Saturday august 20th. Paid by cash approximately $600. When we got home tires did not fit as parts employee stated. Business is now closed. Sunday business closed. Monday and Tuesday back and forth on phone with parts manager whom was very pleasant. Decided on return because no tires were available. Thursday august 25th returned tires. Husband was told that he would have to wait for a return check to be mailed from the company’s corporate bank as the business does not provide cash returns as they do not keep cash in their business. I then spoke to manager who stated that was the policy. I asked for a copy of the return policy. Policy is not available and they store must contact their corporate office to have a copy emailed to me. Argued some more about the refund and how there is no reasonable way that a car dealership with a parts department that accepts cash does not have return money for customers. They insisted they would not. Agreed to make a refund to my husbands debit card. I feel this is not appropriate to make customers wait days for a refund on an item that they paid cash for and have returned the merchandise. Also had I known the policy would have been such I would not have purchased the tires in the first place knowing that if they didn’t fit I would not have my funds available immediately to repurchase new tires.Business response
