I started my two young children at Renaissance Kids in *************** **. I was told the incorrect billing information despite two phone calls to inquire on this before registering. Once I signed up and the invoices began to come in monthly, I realized the problem and contacted the company. She changed her billing information at that time. I accepted it and moved on. ***** also shared that children were not required to wear masks in the building during ******s when I spoke to her on the phone, but that turned out not to be the case either. Upon arrival the kids were asked to put a mask on. I had signed up looking for a mask free location and made that clear in my initial contacts before registering. Once past those issues, the next issue of scheduling arose. Because my children needed to miss certain classes for conflicts or a runny nose, ***** shared that make up sessions would be applied to the account and would never expire. ***** also stated that adjusting regular sessions to other days in the week was allowable if needed without penalty. However, when I did this last month for November, she marked it as use of make up sessions and will not adjust. It seems she is stealing from me as I paid for those sessions but she will not allow me to use them as she indicated. Furthermore, I paid for December sessions and planned to use make *** for others. She has not refunded me for those but told me I should take my kids someplace else. Also, I was not allowed to watch the services being provided to my children and have no idea what they have learned. I had to wait in the car. When I asked, ***** gave me a hand written, undated, unsigned page with some note about what the kids were to have learned. In two months, my oldest does not even know a scale on the piano. I don't know that my kids received any music ****** services.This company uses unclear and poor communication, does not honor its word and seems to want to take payments but not provide the services.Business response

This complaint is full of inaccuracies and untruths. Our policies regarding payment are clearly listed in our website and were explained in detail several times to this customer. The COVID safety rules were also clearly explained, stated in our website, and posted on our premises. Our Holiday Closings are also posted in website and in our studio. Unfortunately, there are people in this world that feel entitled to take advantage, seek to avoid the rules, or bully others until they get their way. Rules are for everyone and we strive to be fair to everyone.
