BBB Scammer Report for Casey Hansen, aka KC Hansen & Associates, aka KC Hansen, aka Keith Hansen I hired KC Hansen to do some remodeling in my home, which he promised to complete in 3 weeks. It took over 9 months. At one point, 3 months into the contract, after having paid him about $17,000 towards a $30,000 total price, he came to my home and pleaded for the remaining money, telling me he was in financial trouble and desperately needed help. I was hesitant, as he had made very little progress towards the repairs he had contracted to do at that time. When I told him I didn't have any more to give him then, he asked me if I had any 'mattress money' or a 401k or IRA funds I could give him. I paid him and progress in my home ground to a slow trickle. Eventually, I found a newspaper article about a similar deceitful thief in the local news that was investigated by the Attorney General and sentenced to prison for 15 years. I sent this article and a picture of me about to fill out a complaint on the Attorney Generals website to Keith Hansen, and things started to pick up a bit. After innumerable lies and stall tactics, now 9 months after he started, he has stopped responding to my messages. The last thing I heard from him was that he was going to come back one last time to take away the demo refuse that he's left laying about for the past several months, and put a floor into my closet, which was stripped down to the floorboards. Even though he still owes me about $1500 and has left a little unfinished work, I am grateful to be rid of him and have no desire to have any further contact with him. I am 67 years old; this is the kind of swindler that defrauds old people out of their life savings and laughs all the way to the bank. He took over $30,000 from me, forced me to fight with him constantly for nine months to get anything done, and left without finishing the job. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND AVOID THIS SMOOTH-TALKING CON ARTIST AT ALL COSTS.
