Do not do business with this false advertising company. They will identify items "Ready to Ship" after you order will send email telling you it will be 10 business days before shipping and then try to extort you for expedited shipping to meet their advertisements of "Ready to Ship".Review from N. W

Do not buy from them. Terrible customer service and gaslighting when you call to ask about why your package hasn't arrived. They say they can only blame shipping on UPS, yet create a claim with UPS and get reimbursed for the value of the package that was lost in the mail. So they are taking your money for a lost package, and making money off of UPS. Amy D***********, Customer Success Manager, began calling me names when I expressed my disappointment over paying for a product that was never received. They will take your money and not send you what you paid for.Review from Gabriel B

I am a new farmer in a new climate. So I have been doing online research on how to grow vegetables. There is a lot of information for growing vegetables in my area, and I have decided to follow those directions as closely as possible. The information that I have uncovered specifies specific varietals of vegetables for my area. Harris Seeds had some of those varietals, and so I chose to use their service for procuring them. I also ordered from two other online seed retailers because Harris Seeds did not have all of the specific varietals that I was looking for. When it got time to plant the first vegetables inside, I gathered all of the seeds that I had ordered. Of the three orders that I had placed with Harris Seeds, none of them had shown up. The website, under my orders showed that one order was "Ready to Ship," and the other two were getting ready to ship. Since I had placed two of the orders about a month prior, I felt like there must have been something holding them up at the shop. I called the shop to see what the holdup was. I was able to get a person on the phone with relative ease (no robo-menu, no hold for inordinate amounts of time). The gentleman that did answer the phone seemed put out that I would be calling about my orders. He let me know that one order had shipped that morning (this was the one that was placed not yet a full week since I had called), another had shipped a few days before I called, and had been on backorder since I had ordered it, and the third order he told me had been delivered. I explained that I had not received the order, and he instructed me to take it up with the US Postal Service. I have since received the last order I placed. I have written off the first one (that was "delivered") and am waiting on the second order that I was told has shipped. In general I was also put off by the tone of the Customer Service Attendant, who reminded me of the gas station attendant in Tommy Boy.Review from Jaime E

Hello I purchased seeds from Harris seed company That were supposed to be non treated But these seeds were treated. That had a green color coating on them So I know they are treated I purchased the seeds from this company expecting quality and a decent amount of seeds for my money But that is not what I got, I got chemically treated seeds and a very small amount of seeds for my money. I did email the company but they ignored me So here I am checking reviews, And leaving 1 of my own Not happy at all with this company. They could have at least answered my email but they did not they just ignored me.

When you emailed us in May, we were closed for 4 days due to the Memorial holiday weekend, and unfortunately it took longer than normal to respond. Upon reviewing your order, you had purchased some untreated varieties but you had also purchased treated beans, cucumbers and carrots. The beans, cucumbers, and carrots are also available in untreated seed. These options are available on the product page. Harris Seeds offers multiple seed types to accommodate the needs of all growers - seeds include organic, untreated as well as treated seed. For future reference, please be sure to select "untreated" from the dropdown menus (if available). As customer satisfaction is very important to us, we offered to refund or replace your treated seeds with untreated seeds. I ordered 50 pounds of ******** and 50 pounds of ******* potatoes. They say they will send you an email when they are being shipped. I ordered in March 2022. I paid $59/50 pounds/bag as I was unable to find them anywhere locally. Two weeks later, I find them locally (shipped in) for $18/50 lbs and called to cancel the order. They tell me the order's been shipped and would be delivered next day. I never received an email telling me this. Things happen. I get that. What I don't get is charging 3 times the local price. Are they price gouging? I don't know but I wonder. 3X the price! Really?? This doesn't include cost of shipping. On the flip side, I only glanced at the ********* and they did appear to be in very good condition. Anyway, I won't be ordering from them again.Harris Seeds Response

We are very sorry to hear that your experience with Harris Seeds was not a positive one. Our records indicate that an email notification was sent to you. Perhaps it landed in your junk/spam folder. In any case, we regret that you did not see it. As far as pricing, we compared our price of 50 pounds of Pontiac seed potatoes to several other companies offering these seed potatoes online, and our pricing was much lower. We honestly do not know why the potatoes in your local area were $18 for 50 pounds. That pricing does not align with most other companies selling similar products online. Again, we sincerely apologize that your experience with us was not a good one. It certainly was not our intent. Your feedback is appreciated, and we hope that we can be of service to you in the future and exceed your expectations - we would be disappointed to lose you as a customer.
