I hired Roof Rangers Inc to repair a leak in Master Bathroom. They gave me an estimate on 07/01/22 with a 10 - Year Labor Warranty. The work started on 07/27/22 and, completed 08/11/22. I paid owner Trey V****** a total of $7000. in full for the job. Trey assured me that I can go ahead and complete the interior repairs now that the roof project was done. A few days later after it rain, the same leak in the Master Bathroom reappeared. I contacted Trey & he came over a couple days later & said all he needed to do was add additional calking. Well, this did not solve the issue. I left several telephone messages on his cell & answering service with no response. On 12/07/22 I sent an email & 12/08/22 he emailed back saying he did not receive any text or phone calls and, he would come by and take a look, which he has not. On 04/10/23 I sent him another email and, as of today I have not received a response at all.

I offered to refund the chimney since we were not successful in that repair. Most go very well, this one is unique and seems to be leaking after we replaced all the flashing. So I offered a refund. Client did not respond, so I texted to ask him if he received it and offered to send again.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  The business was hired to repair roof leak after providing estimate of necessary repairs to solve the problem. The repair order did not exclusively isolate replacement of flashing around the chimney to repair leak as the solution, which owner & contractor - Trey V****** is now offering refund of $350.00 to resolve my dispute because he claims he cannot now determine the source of the leak. I paid $7000.00 for the job and is the position as before I hired him.  It became apparent to me that Mr. V****** had no intention to operate in good faith and correctly repair roof as contracted.  He claimed that he responded to me when I reached out to him to inform him that the leak had not stop and I had not heard back from so, he assumed had moved on.  As I stated on my initial complaint to the BBB, I left several messages on his answering service and cell phone between August 2022 & December 2022 with no response.  It wasn't until 12/07/22 when I finally emailed him that he responded back on 12/08/22 and, he would come and take a look, which he never did.  It wasn't until after my complaint to BBB that he reached out to me and claimed he emailed the said refund offer of $350.00 to.  I requested that he send a copy of his original refund offer attached but, he was dated 05/2023...5 months after he said he would come by and take a look.  Furthermore, the email is address to my business closed account since 09/30/2022...He had my updated email account as evidence by his response to my new email address 12/08/2022.  Nevertheless, why would he offer a partial refund when collected $7000.00 for the Job ? What happen to the 10-Year Labor Warranty ?  See attachment above.  Regards,  ******* ******

Additional response to 05/22/23 attachment sent: The business was hired to repair roof leak. The business provided estimate that they thought would solve my issue. The business work order did not exclusively isolate just the flashing around the chimney per owner Trey v****** response & resolution to the complaint. They offered $350 refund for cost charged to repair flashing but, I paid $7000. to repair my leaky roof, which is why I hired him in the first place. I am in the same position as when I pre-hired him. It is now apparent that Trey has no intentions to rightly fixed my leaky roof. I consider his offered resolution weak and unjust. Additionally, he claimed I did not respond to his previous offer to refund $350. It is dated 05/08/23 but, was sent to a closed email account since 09/30/22 however, he had my new email address, which is evidence by his response to my email compliant of the continued roof leak on 12/07/22 to him...please see my 05/22/23 documentation to BBB.

This is incorrect. We did not charge $7000 to replace and  fix the leak in the chimney. We charged $350 to replace the chimney flashing, and then another $6650 to work on other sections of his roof unrelated due to ice issues. Since he had leaks in his chimney only, we offered to refund the chimney portion only. He did not accept. We have not proceeded with the refund since he did not accept.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  REGARDING COMPLAINT #******** I emailed business on 06/22/2023 that I am willing to accept settlement offered by business to drop the complaint buy, received no response back or credit refund received ($350).  Regards,  ******* ******
