1 star because 0 isn’t an option! I bought my 2021 *** ******* from Romeo *** in Kingston, NY new. A couple months later the passenger door stripping discolored. It was replaced. January of this year (2024) the stripping on the entire car discolored. I took the car in January 8th for the dealership to take pictures and order the parts. During the months that followed I did not receive one phone call from this dealership, I called them several times to find that the parts were still not there. A appointment was finally made around May or June so I took off work for that day as it takes an hour to get to the dealership. As I’m on my way out the door to head to the appointment they call and tell me the wrong parts were delivered. So now I’m waiting and calling again because they don’t call me! September they tell me they have some of the parts. After calling corporate to complain the dealership calls me and told me they have all the parts so I make an appointment for September 19th. They finish and I’m told the other two pieces would be there the following your Wednesday! I was previously told all the parts would be there, now I have to take off work another day instead of going once. I have another appointment on Wednesday September 25th. The car is scheduled to be traded in at another dealership on the 26th of Sept. The car gets finished on the 25th, I leave and down the road I have to pull over because the second row seat slams into my drivers seat. They didn’t put it back in locking position. When I got out I noticed that all the stripping they put on the car is a different color (I have pictures to prove it). I called the dealership six times with no response. Eventually, they offered to fix the issues, but it was too late as I had already traded the car. I waited and dealt with this for 9 months! I suffered a loss in its value in trade. I strongly advise against doing business with Romeo dealerships, as their customer service is non-existent after the sale.Review from shelly m

Do not buy a car from this dealership nor take your car to be serviced there unless you like being screwed over! Took my car in for wash and detail. It got scratched down to the metal in 3 places and the dealership will do nothing about it! Offered paint touch up but that was it, which is not acceptable! Service manager named ****** obviously did not care to make things right! It would not allow me to post without a star rating. An actual star rating would be ZERO!Review from Tom H

Recently I had a very bad experience with the ************ at Romeo Chevrolet Buick in Kingston NY. My 2019 ***** pickup truck needed a repair service. It lost power steering and then would not start amongst other numerous error messages on the display. It was towed to Romeo. In summary, multiple interim promised dates were missed, there was an unexpected additional charge that I had to pay at the time of vehicle pick up, and my main complaint was of the total amount time (4 weeks) that I was without my vehicle. Fortunately, I had an service contract on the truck, so the $2300 charge was paid by that company. But all that time and amount could have been avoided had they just replaced a $39 part first, or at least eliminated that part as the cause of the problem. (Visually, it was obviously broken. I know; I have the replaced part.) It is a known issue with that era of truck, and another dealer indicated that is often the cause. Even if it still ended up being the much more expensive entire wiring harness part that they replaced, they could have probably repaired it and not have needed to replaced it (again based on another dealer's knowledge and experience). Sounds like a money grab to me. Or maybe it was just because I had not purchased the vehicle there, that I was considered low priority. Either way, not the level of customer experience I would expect from an established ** dealership service *****Review from Robert S

July 2022 I purchased a 2019 ****** ******** from the Romeo Toyota. It took several weeks for them to give me the truck they advertised. I was told I had to change my review in order for them to give me the truck they advertised. Once that was finished they had issues with the title as the truck was from North Carolina. Fast forward to 07/2024 my vehicle was getting the NYS inspection from my mechanic of 25 years. While doing the inspection he brought an issue to my attention regarding a leak in the rear differential. Because I purchased a $1500 extended warranty I had to bring it to the dealer for repair. I called explained the problem and was asked about the battery in my key fob? I said it was fine I need the differential looked at based on my mechanics recommendation to repair/ replace the seal. Once I arrived at the dealer 45 minute drive they said you are here for a key fob battery. I sigh and said NO, and explained the issue. They gave me the truck back and stated NO LEAK or Problems front and rear differential. So my issue now is someone is lying. Brought it *** ****** in Schenectady they looked at it and show me the leak. They tried working with the warranty company and determine my truck was still covered under the ****** warranty from the manufacturer. The vehicle was repaired by a credible dealership, My problem is how can I trust this dealership to work on my truck. I asked a manager to switch the warranty over to *** he said no there was no leak. My mechanic and *** were lying and trying to get warranty work for nothing. I think they should either pay for the deductible if I need to use the warranty for repairs, or pay for a new warranty for *** to be the dealer. The Romeo manager actually stated that my differential stopped leaking when I brought to them and leaked again after I brought to ***. They should be investigated for failure to provide certified service as advertised. AT MINIMUM MY WARRANTY FEE SHOULD BE REFUNDED.Review from William E

I was pleased with Dylan and the purchase of my new car. However, I am very disappointed in the after sales service of this dealership. I purchased my 2022 ******* ******, and it had a bent hood support to hold the hood open. The dealership removed it with the promise of providing a replacement. They have failed to contact me or replace it after more than a 6 weeks of asking. I have to use a 2x4 to prop open the hood in order to check the oil and washer fluid. People have seen this and can't believe Romeo Toyota would allow this to happen, nor can I. No one has contacted me or even give me an estimated date when they will make good on installing this vital part. If the dealership makes good on this I will be happy to update my review. ****** ******* ******* **** ********* ****** ******, Johnstown, NY 12095Review from David E

DO NOT GET YOU CAR OR TRUCK SERVICED HERE !!!!!I was traveling through ********** when my 2018 ***** Colorado check engine e light came on. I was passing by the dealership and I thought I had better take it in and have it checked. I did not have an appointment , but they said that they would squeeze me i. They ran a test and said it was the thermostat. They never gave me a price to fix it !!! They said that they would have to get an aftermarket thermostat from the local Autozone. I sat in the waiting room from 2;30 pm until 5 pm when they say that they could work on it. They were finished by & pm. They charged me $1069.69.They said that they had to charge me for 4 hours work even though it only took them an hour and a half. They charged me $ ****** for the thermostat and housing that Autozone sells for $ ****** They took advantage of an out of state traveller. I have been a loyal ***** customer for many years. NO MORE ! I will never buy another ***** product again They just lost my business.
