on 3/22/2022 I purchased a 2006 ***** ****** with the repairs of a Drivers side wheel baring and the inspection needing to be done before the car was to be paid for, which in turn the owner Kenny stated it was done when we paid for the vehicle. I was driving down the road on 4/18/2022 in the same vehicle mention above, I went to turn right and heard a grinding sound. I called Kenny, a worker answer, and explained what I was hearing, his worker stated that it wasn’t covered under warranty they could look at it but not till the next day and that would still be too long as I need my vehicle to drive to and from work. I brought it over to another mechanic and that mechanic stated in the quote that the wheel bearing on the drivers side was missing a bolt and that there were also 2 bolts loose as well, this caused the caliper to go bad and the brakes needed replacing and the rotors as well. When i contacted Kenny to inform him about the poor work his mechanic did prior to the sale of the vehicle he stated that it is my fault for bringing it to another mechanic as it is now no longer his problem and even being within 30 days of the date of the sale Kenny stated that he will not reimburse for the faulty work his mechanic did as he does not believe that his mechanic could do bad work. I want either reimbursement for the Wheel Baring part that was wrongfully installed in the first place and the labor for the job or the entire amount that also includes the damage that happened due to the faulty wheel baring.Business response

We did not tell her it wasn't covered. We did not know what was wrong with it at that time. We asked her to bring the car to us the next day but that wasn't quick enough for her, instead she brought it somewhere else. I don't know what else I could have done.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was told that it was not covered by the employee of the owner of the shop. If that person wishes to lye then so be it. I was told it was not covered and that I would have to pay out of pocket. What about a NY state Lemon law. Let’s see if attorneys want this case instead. Regards, ***** ******
