      I contacted Chris from Grime Guys at the end of May 2024 to get an estimate to have my front walk and step power washed and re-sanded. The estimate was provided quickly and I paid him half of the cost for the deposit. The job was scheduled for June 25. About 2 weeks before the job was to be done we realized his price was double the amount charged by other companies. I emailed him to cancel the job and he agreed to refund me my deposit minus the cost of materials he had already purchased. Numerous emails and text messages have not been replied to since that one in June. I am looking to get my deposit of $472.50 refunded in full at this point.

      On June 25th, I paid a $216 deposit for a house washing job that was scheduled for July 18. On July 2, the company cancelled my job because they "just don't service that area in Rochester"! (their website states Rochester is part of their service area.) Although the company has had my address since the time I signed the contract with them, their explanation of not serving my "area" is suspicious and suggests discriminatory business practice. Regardless, they have had my money (deposit) since June 25. The company has not yet returned my deposit and they are not responding to multiple requests about my refund. .

      We’ve spoken to the client on 7/10. Suggesting we are being discriminatory all because we don’t service some zip codes in Rochester is a very bold statement once again like previously discussed. Refund is being processed it takes 5-7 business days and was submitted the day before a holiday. Customer only reached out to us via the business phone number 1 time (7/10 @902am) and she was responded to within 2 hours so I’m unsure as to why I just got this at 2pm 7/11 when the customer was spoken to.
