  My boat which is owned by non for profit organization ******** ********** **********, was dropped off at Top Stitch Upholstery on 5/07/2024. I put down the deposit they required and When speaking with Top Stitch Upholstery I was assured that the boat would be ready within 30 days. Work was started in the form of removing items that needed to be replaced. Around 30 days I was assured that they had made more progress in the replacement process. I stopped by as a follow up and to look at the work myself. They hadn’t done any more work other than what had already been done when they first started the job. They reassured me that it would be done. I was again informed that more progress had been made and again rechecked to find no more work had been done. I stressed to the company that I had a fishing experience for children coming up and that it was very important that the boat be done before June 28th. Again I was reassured it would be but again no progress was made. Our non for profit organization had to rely on the donation of a boat in order for the event to go on. I have repeatedly asked for the job to be completed. As of 9/18/2024 no further progress has been made other than the initial removal of items.

  Mr. ****** did drop his boat off May 7th, 2024, initially for replacement of seats and console due to old ones being made of wood and rotting out, which we provided him with an invoice for same on that day. After removing all of the seating and console of Mr. ******'s boat, Mr. ****** decided to do the flooring. We provided him with an invoice for same on May 23, 2024. We have been experiencing a major problem with finding and acquiring employees that are qualified to do the specialized work needed at our shop. This was conveyed to Mr. ****** and we believed he understood the situation. The installation of the the flooring is a big undertaking having to remove every piece of hardware and railings for the boat, and the installation of the console with all the instrumentation and controls required additional reinforcement and wiring. We are in the final stages of finishing his boat and we will have it complete by no later than Friday, October 4th, 2024. We are sorry for the delay and expressed such to Mr. ******, especially in missing the certain events he conveyed to us.
