We booked our wedding venue at East Winds on September 13th, 2022 and due to unforeseen financial problems we were forced to cancel our wedding on May 3rd, 2023. We have given $7,000 to East Winds so far. We spoke to ***************************** and explained our situation and they cannot refund our money till the venue can sell our date - May 24, ****. If they can't sell the date we forfeit our money to East Winds and we walk away with nothing. Due to our financial issues the money we gave to the venue could help us tremendously. Considering we submitted our cancellation notice 5/3/23, a year prior and with no goods or services actually rendered at this time, It is wrong that they get to keep all of our money without ** even getting a dime back. We've been making parodical calls to see if they've sold the date and most of the time its been hard to get anyone to answer or even call back being extremely uncooperative. If you can help us in any way it would mean the world to the both of us, thank you for your time.Customer response
