At the end of 2021, Jason F******* and Charlene from Sew it Seams came out to look at a sofa and chair that I wished to have re-upholstered. They were going to put a quote together and let me know. Charlene came out a second time for us to look through fabrics online so that she could order samples. She had brought a quote with her and said that they had a cancelation and that they could fit my project in mid-January. Later that week, I stopped by their store and dropped off my signed quote and a deposit of $1,202.00 (dated 12/17/2021 - Check #****). Foolishly I did not make a copy of the quote, but Charlene, who took my quote and payment promised me she would make a copy and send it to me (I have never received a copy). Unfortunately, I have run into some more pressing issues with items concerning my house, and I contacted both Jason and Charlene requesting that we hold off on this project and wondered if I could be reimbursed my deposit. Charlene did tell me that he had purchased some material for the project, and I responded that if he provided receipts that he could deduct those and reimburse me the balance. I myself have not made any selections. As of today, I have sent several texts to Jason, with no reply. However, I have had several texts back and forth with Charlene, with her last one saying that she will handle it. Again, as of today, I have received nothing. My last text was to Charlene on Thursday, February 17, 2022 of which I have not received a response. I feel that if this is how they do business, I am not sure how comfortable I am with considering them to do this at a later date. I just want to be reimbursed my deposit.
