Hi, We contacted Crossfield Heating & Air Conditioning regarding some water gathering in our basement. The technician came and said the issue was from a leaking pressure relief valve on our boiler. He replaced that and adjusted the pressure in the expansion tank, which he said was needed with the valve replacement, and charged $509.06 (Invoice Date: 09/03/2024; Invoice No: *-*****) The very same night after he left, there was water again. I examined the water, and it had no smell indicating that it was not coming from our boiler at all. The boiler is used for a heated floor and has anti-freeze in it so the water has a very distinct smell. I looked further and saw the water was coming from our dehumidifier and had nothing to do with the boiler in the first place. I contacted the business and explained the situation. They argued the relief valve had a small drip and would have been an issue in the future and the service was needed. I do not accept this argument for the following reasons: 1. I agreed to pay the charges assuming this was the cause of our problem based on what the technician had said. 2. In turns out, based on what the business themselves say, the valve was not an urgent issue itself. I am an engineer, and I could have replaced the valve myself in time. If the technician had said there is a small drip but that is not the cause of your problem, then I would not have agreed to the charges and would have asked him not to do any work. I only agreed as I was busy and wanted to take care of any leak in the basement quickly. 3. The second point is assuming there even was any drip from the valve. I called the business and politely mentioned this was a diagnostics mistake by the technician, it happens, but I should not pay for it. The business refused to take any action. I request a full refund. Regards, ******* ***** ** **** ***** ** ********** ** *****Business response

Unfortunately the mechanical issues have not been completely resolved but we have been to Ms. ******'s home multiple times in the past month to try and resolve the issues. There was a lengthy delay in getting the manufacturer's technical representative on site and we did not do a good job with communication at all. There all still issues with the generator but the manufacturer is involved and Ms. ****** is included in all the communications.Customer response
