I have a warranty with American home shield. I filed a claim with the warranty company regarding my AC unit not working properly. AMHS, appointed East Ohio Furnance to look at my HVAC system. On May 28th between 1-4pm, a technician came out to my home looked at the system and immediately stated my system is damaged due to DOG urine. I disagree with analysis, because, the technician didn’t take any parts of the unit to run test on it to determine the sole reason my unit isn’t working is due to DOG urine, you can clearly see that the HVAC system is dated/old and is not operational due common wear and tare. With this analysis the warranty company denied my claim.. My resolution is repair or replace the unit for the covered amount of warranty company.Business response

Our team has reached out to the homeowner directly to come up with a mutual solution that best fits the homeowner. Our team has reported the diagnosis of the AC system to the homeowner's home warranty company, who has denied the claim for the AC. We have informed the homeowner that they may request a second opinion from the home warranty company if they disagree with the decision on their AC claim.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Also, within the response from East Ohio Furnance, they agreed as good faith, agreed to send me $125, the amount of my deductible. I accept the response and will discuss with the warranty company and analysis from another company that state, the issue is wear and tear due to the age of my unit.

The company did not fix my furnance after 3 visits, the same issue still persist. They are trying to charge me eventhough they did not fix the issue. They have charged me for each visit in the last 8 months.Business response
