Mr. Stubblefield and his crew installed a new roof on my house and the job was completed June 1, 2022. The total cost was $8,000; I gave him a $4000 deposit prior to him starting the job then the remaining $4000 upon completion on June 1, 2022. On June 1, 2022, we had a bad rainstorm and the rain no longer went into my gutters but poured between the drip edge and the gutter then on to the ground near my foundation. I contacted him on June 1, 2022 and he said that they must have forgotten to put the gutters back in place as they had to pull them away from the house when installing the roof. He told me that he would be back out within the week to fix the gutters and he did not. A couple days later, I noticed that there was a large separated area on the soffit on the side of the garage where the electric goes to the roof. Mr. Stubblefield's company installed a new boot on the electric housing on the roof and when doing so, moved the housing and separated the soffit underneath so now, insects and animals can get in it. I called Mr. Stubblefield again and told him about it and asked if he could please correct that when he is fixing the gutters and he said he would. I called him two more times after June 2022 and he still never came back. There were also discussions with him regarding my shingles not matching because he used a different lot number. He told me the issue would resolve on it's own in a couple of weeks. The issue partially resolved, I can only see the discrepancy of shingles when the roof is wet; I did not pursue that issue but did discuss it with the shingle manufacturer. December 8, 2022, I sent him a text to ask him if he could come out to repair these items in the near future and his response was, "Sorry I forgot I'll get there soon". Wednesday, April 19, 2023, I sent him another text and asked if he could come in the near future to get this resolved and he never responded nor did he do the repairs. May 2023, I got an estimate from a company to perform the repairs and sent Mr. Stubblefield a certified letter, regular **** letter, and I texted him a copy of the letter asking him to please send me $300, the cost of the estimate for repairs, so we could put this matter to rest. He never claimed the certified mail nor responded to my text. The reason this has gone on over one year is because I had kept in contact with Mr. Stubblefield and wanted to give him the chance to fix these items as he said he would.Customer response
