We bought a 08 Saturn Vue from **** at Carlisle Cars for my wife. Just a little after getting it around a week we started hearing a noise in the back. When we checked it the back passenger tire was almost rusted off and noticed rust in other places. We got with **** who looked and said it was nothing get with a welder and we can split the price or he would put her in something safe. We took it to a welder we knew who said it wasn't safe, but since it wasn't who **** suggested he didn't want to listen. So we took it to ****** ******* that **** suggested. The welder told my wife that he was scared to stand under it while it was on the racks. There is 3 and a half feet of the main frame rusted away, the back tire is almost rusted off, and the break line is rusted away. He said that it could not be fixed and that it could collapse in the middle at any time. When my wife called **** after the welder **** told her that the welder couldn't get it on the racks to look at it. So my wife got him on a group call with the welder who told **** that that's not what he told him and repeated what all was wrong with it. Now **** will not take any calls from my wife and now she is out of a car and the money to get one since we bought it straight out. All we really want is for him to keep his word and put her into something safe or refund her money.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please note the car was sold to ******** ******* *** ******

Our records reflect, ******** and ****** came in together to look at the cars. They said they only had $4500 to spend, I had just the one car available. I test drove the car with them, there was no vibration, or other issues.

I carefully explained it was an Ohio car and had rust, specifically rusted fenders. She purchased the car "as is'.

When she called to say she wanted us to look at it, we told her to bring it in. After looking at the car, I told her I would not be afraid to drive it. In fact, I personally drove the Saturn for 1200 miles before selling it to her, so if it didn't drive well, I would have known it and not put it on the lot.

I felt bad for her, but reminded her it was an "as is" car deal. Therefore, we would not be financially responsible for the cost of any repairs. But because I wanted to help her out, I offered to find a shop where they could pay a reasonable cost for any repairs. I suggested she take it to ****** ******* in Lancaster, Ohio.

They did not take it to ******, but an un-licensed repair shop.

When they finally took it to ******, they told **** they wanted the car repaired immediately, he couldn't do it immediately. I called ****. He said he could repair the car, but it would be awhile, that he was too backed up to do that big of a job immediately. I asked **** what the mileage was when he had the car, and compared it to the purchase order, and found they have put 3,441 miles on it since the purchase date (about 6 weeks ago).

I told her I would try to find another licensed shop who might be able to do the job sooner. She began threatening me, saying things like I should put her in a new car immediately. I said unfortunately, I have nothing in your budget on the lot at this time, and she did not have any more to put down on a more expensive car.

I began receiving calls from her sister threatening me, which I do not appreciate. I told her sister I would not talk to her as she did not buy the car.

Given the amount of miles they put on the car, that they did not initially take it where we asked them to and it is an "as is" purchase, we do not believe we owe her anything.

We drive all of the cars before we ever put them on the lot for sale. We are sorry we have nothing available in their budget at this time, so we cannot offer her a trade-in.

We always take care of our customers. We are sorry she is disappointed with her purchase.

No there was no warranty, but to sale a car that has enough rust on the bottom and frame rusted away. The welder/mechanic that he sent us to said it could not be fixed. **** said he checked out the car himself and said there was a little rust on the body, never said about under the body.

when mrs.****** arrived at our location i ***** ***** told them this was all i had in their price range and it had rust showing on the body,i shared with mrs.****** that i drove it back and forth for a week or two with no problems she drove it said it runs and drives great we connected xm radio for them and she drove away a happy person . i also shared i have no lifts to raise a car in the air for inspection but relied on the dealer it came from to tell me the truth, the car was sold as is, they put over 3400 miles on it in a very short period of time, they drove it excessive miles to an unlicensed shop in columbus ohio when i ask for an invoice to establish who i could talk too i was not provided with that information .family members were calling me,i was trying to deal with the buyer of this car, and even now we are not corresponding with the registered buyer of this vehicle i dont understand why it wasnt brought to our attention with a hundred or 200 miles on it .unfortunately i feel this is an as is sale according to state of ohio guide lines,
