On 10/9/2022, I won LOT # *** (6 CLASSIC ROCK VINYL RECORDS) from the auction company “Style Up the World” on ********* $25.00 plus buyers premium and taxes - Total $31.31, also $11.50 shipping - Grand Total $42.81. The record albums that were displayed in the photos for sale were shown slightly overlapping one another appearing to show no signs of damage, except for the **** ******* record (top right) which I can see has some damage. The pictures that were listed were misleading to me, by showing the record albums in good condition, they were displayed overlapping and covering up the heavy damage areas, not showing any other parts of the record album’s, especially the backs of the record albums to where most of the damage was discovered when I had opened the package that I received in the mail from Style Up the World. When I received the records, half of them were very damaged including the 2 main records that I was bidding on, which were heavily destroyed by mildew and heavy scratches which made them unplayable. I tried reaching out but no answer for 2 days. After I emailed them, they emailed me back by telling me that they had blocked my number for being disrespectful during my first call to reach out. I want to point out that the first time I called and left a voicemail, I was not disrespectful, I was very blunt and upset when I explained my issue about the records that I had purchased, I explained that the records that I had received were heavily damaged and unplayable and that the photos that were shown when I started biding were a bit deceiving, not showing the shredded back side of the record albums and heavy mildew/water damage on them. When I reached out by email to Style Up the World, they told me that I had agr*** to the terms (attached), which I did, but since the photos were deceiving and hide the heavy damage from the bidder. I am requesting a full refund for the Lot of records of $42.81. ******************************************************Business response

Hello ****,
This is Daniel R*** the owner of Style Up the World Auctions.
I understand *** ********* frustration with his recent purchase, I myself have purchased items to resell and they were not in the condition I hoped they were in. I have never knowingly hidden or tried to deceive any of my customers in any way. I have customers call and ask me to inspect things further or send additional photos if they wish, *** ******* chose not to do this. *** ******* agreed to all Terms and conditions when he registered for the auction acknowledging that all items are as is with no refunds. The pictures in the listing show damage to the record covers, the condition was not hidden from *** *******. All that being said, I have and will continue to issue refunds for items that slip through the cracks that are damaged, because I want happy and returning customers. *** ******* will not receive a refund because he called late in the evening when I was home with my family and left a very unprofessional, "mean", and demanding voicemail. Then *** ******* called many many times that evening late into the night. My phone was on silent because we value our family time and it was well past our hours of operation. After listening to the voicemail after we opened the following day I decided to block *** ******* and report his actions to ***** auctions and block him from further bidding. If he had left me a Voicemail without raising his voice or emailed me with his concerns things would have ended differently. We have a no returns or refunds policy that *** ******* agreed to, but the way he acted is the reason he will not be receiving a refund. I have thousands of happy customers and I'm always willing to help people out. I have encountered countless scammers through **** and ***** and this customer "I feel" is upset because he could not get his items for free.
Thank you so much for your time,

Hello ****,
This is ***** *******, the buyer of the record albums from Style Up the World Auctions, I am responding to each of the comments listed in the recent message from Daniel R*** of Style Up the World Auctions. In his first comment, Mr. R*** made an assumption by comparing his past of buying and reselling things to the possibility of me buying his products to resell, that was an a relevant comment and is no way his business. As a customer you should cover all your bases and read and try to understand all the terms and conditions, pricing, examine the photos, etc. before you bid on an auction, which I have done countless times in the past with other auctions including the one for Style Up the World. When I signed up to be a bidder for the Style Up the World Auction, I read the terms and conditions pretty throughly, taking note that it says sold is, but in the attached photo of the terms and conditions, no where does it says “no refunds” which was said by Mr. R*** in is recent message. Mr. R*** said in his message that the condition of the record albums was not hidden in the photos listed. Based on the photos summited from the auction listing, I strongly disagree, him knowing or not knowing, the photos clearly show the record albums were fanned out overlapping one another covering the major damage of the album covers which gave the illusion of no damage, except for the “Best of **** *******” album which showed minor damage in the photos. None of the pictures listed in the auction showed the back of any of the albums which had the most significant damage (shown in the photos attached). “Imagine bidding on a listing, seeing the item in a picture not damaged, winning that item, getting it in the mail, with excitement you open the package, when you see the items, confusion, hurt, then anger overcomes you because your items fall out of the package in pieces, (according to Mr. R***) you simply didn’t ask the auctioneer about the condition of the items before you bided on them. That is what I experienced!” After receiving my package from Style Up the World and feeling disappointed for what I received, I then attempted to call the phone number listed on ********* for Style Up the World. With no answer, I left I very blunt and straightforward (Non Yelling) voicemail about my upsetting purchase I received. When leaving the voicemail, I was describing how the back and inside of the albums look like hell, a few were shredded and some had heavy mildew damage (none of which was never shown in the photos of the listing) I was very upset, but I was more professional then what Mr. R*** described me as. Mr. R*** said “I had called many many times that evening late into the night.” That is incorrect, I called the number listed on ********* for Style Up the World one time at around 5:50pm CST, I then called again a few more times throughout the Next day right after they opened, trying to get ahold of someone to resolve my purchase issue but no answer. I then attempted to leave an email the same day, which then Mr. R*** responded with the comments listed in his message, saying that he had blocked my number and reported me to *****, just for simply trying to resolve an issue about my purchase. With every said, my request to resolve this matter is Not to get anything for free, but to simply Return the heavily damaged items that were won from the auction and receive a FULL refund on the items, shipping and buyers premium. In doing this, it would put closure in this matter. Hopefully after this, Mr. R*** will provide more detailed photos on items sold in his auctions, especially when there is a substantial or moderate damage to a highly collectible item or items. ****, I do apologize for the lengthy message, I just wanted to touch base on every comment that Mr. R*** mentioned, and explain to you my side and truth. Thank you again for your time,
***** *******
