DO NOT expect to get any sharing from this company. I waited 14 months for a review of my medical bill for a prophylactic colonscopy for my son. Now I just found out that they don't cover prophylactic procedures...mind you, they will cover a prophylactic mammogram but not for colon. Makes no sense, Seems like they would want you to be proactive and not reactive. This process of sharing is the most complicated and the most inefficient process of receiving a share is unbelievable.Christian Healthcare Ministries, Inc. Response

Colonoscopies and preventative procedures of that nature are eligible for sharing across all programs, granted Qualifying Amounts are met and Personal Responsibility is satisfied. Weve been with *** for about 6 years and the price started out at $499/mo with an out of pocket $500 for a family of 5. We really never had to file a claim thankfully. Now we are a family of 3(2children grown and on their own ins). The monthly cost has steady gone up including the out of pocket **** Just got a letter that as of Jan 2025 the premium will go up to $765 with an out of pocket of $1250. Were about to have to make some decisions. We cant keep increasing the price plus the *** of customer responsibility. We can save $765 per month and pay our medical bills instead of paying CHM and losing that $$$$. Were very frustrated!!!Christian Healthcare Ministries, Inc. Response

We understand the frustration around rising costs, and know these decisions aren't made without much consideration and research. The Health Care Research Institute of Price Waterhouse Coopers International, one of the world’s Big 4 accounting firms, forecasts an 8% increase in commercial healthcare costs in 2025. Even with these price changes, CHM remains a remarkable value, and we consistently keep administrative costs low so more funds can go toward sharing members’ medical bills. We provide a telehealth option for all our members so they can save money on incidental medical expenses. This service is available at no additional cost on all CHM programs, and we encourage members to take advantage of this perk. Weve been with this company for years. Weve never had any issues. It is a few different forms and takes a few minutes to fill all of it out but weve always gotten paid. I am disappointed however how expensive it is getting to cover my family of 4. It seems like every year I get a notice that the price is going up as well as the personal responsibility. It also takes about 120 days to get payment which can seem like forever when you have high dollar bills and each company wants their money. I wish they would update the member portal when checking on the status of the claim so I can see when the reimbursement has been sent out. Overall, its been a great experience and pretty easy. I do recommend them because of the ease and payout. But PLEASE *** stop raising the rates.Christian Healthcare Ministries, Inc. Response

My family has been a member of a Christian Healthcare Ministry (formerly called Christian Brotherhood) for well over 30 years. It is the most wonderful organization I have ever worked with. Compared to the cost of retail health insurance premiums, the cost of CHM is a small fraction of that cost. I have had (7) seven TOTAL joint replacements, as well as various other medical issues over the past 30 years. CHM has always came through and paid most if not all of my bills. There is a saying that says "You get what you pay for". Many people have unrealistic expectations of what CHM is and what they do. Many people expect premium, gold standard health insurance plans for the price of very inexpensive, budget monthly cost of CHM plans. Dollar for dollar, this organization works miracles for the monthly amount they charge. My family would be bankrupt if it were not for CHM. I will gladly defend this organization for all of the good work they have done over the years in helping Christians and non-Christians alike who would other wise have no medical coverage or help with their medical bills.Christian Healthcare Ministries, Inc. I joined this year. It was a huge leap of faith for me but I had to stop funding our current healthcare system. I chose CHM because of the reviews. 2 months after becoming a member I felt very odd and was shaking. Went to the ** and had a seizure for unknown reasons. I was a member for only 2 months and faced a mountain of bills. I just received a check for a majority of the costs I incurred. I am very impressed and look forward to sharing other members bills. They are an amazing group! Kind , considerate, helpful, very thoughtful, when I had my heart surgery in 2022 they were there to help us, and to encourage us all the way. When I received my overwhelming bill they were there to calm my fears and they reduced my bill incredibly. Thank you CHM. God has truly blessed us with you. Christian Healthcare Ministries has been amazing to work with and a godsend for my wife's cancer treatment. Once you understand how the system works it's amazing. They have shared all our bills that we have submitted. From imaging to surgery to chemo and aftercare. All of it shared. All we do is put our bills on a $50 or $100 a month payment and 100 or so days later we get the bill payments sent to us. More importantly not once have we had to wait on medical treatment due to insurance approval or have we had to compromise treatment just to save some big insurance company money. We have friends that have had to wait week for treatment or be turned down because someone decided it was not worth the price.You do have to spend time collecting charges and submitting the bills but that amount of time spent is well worth the coverage that has been provided to us.My son has had 2 Knee surgeries and my wife is going through breast cancer. I personally dont know what we would have done if not for the monetary responsibly that CHM has provided. We despise this theiving company. They made excuses every step of the way for every claim we tried to file. They happily took our payments every month and, NOT ONCE, from several attempted legitimite claims, did they reimburse us a single dime. Year after year they increased prices and deductables and they gave us NOTHING. We didn't even get the peace of mind of being insured because we were never confident they would actually pay us anything. If I could rate CHM negative stars I'd go to the **** They weren't good on any level and I can't beleive how much money they got from us before I finally cancelled this pathetic excuse of a service. I will absolutely deter anyone I know from dealing with them if asked. I'll have to try hard to not be vengeful and vocal about my disdain for them. They disgust me with all their "Christian" talk with nothing but greed and love of money that I've witnessed. I hope they fail and that the decision makers actually responsible for all their theft enjoy their corruptable possessions. Hello ******, We're sorry you've been dissatisfied with your experience at CHM.I reviewed your membership, and I see that you submitted one bill last year, and we were unable to process it because we needed a Medical Release Form consented and signed by you, the patient. We sent you two different requests for this form. You say you submitted multiple incidents, but we have no record of any additional submissions; we only the one bill, and we would've happily processed and shared out eligible charges had we received the form we needed. Last year I had to have 3 heart caths which involved 2 hospital overnight stays and 5 stents put in. The initial communication was a little slow and cumbersome and I think CHC covered all of the expense except for my individual responsibility payment. (The only complaint I have is that they didn't explain which bills/services they were covering when they sent me reimbursement). They are still working on negotiating the last hospital bill but they send me an email several times a month letting me know they are still working on it and they will cover the final amount due however it is resolved with the hospital. I cannot say enough good things about CHC. Read the guidelines and make sure you understand what is covered and is not covered before you sign up and you won't have any problems.Christian Healthcare Ministries, Inc. Response
