It’s been nearly 2 years and only a small fraction of our debts have been settled. Even during their illegal troubles, they are still taking money, but not doing anything I called for an update because one of our debts contacted me and is threatening legal action as the last step and I called Hallock and Associates And they tell me all I can do is upload the document. They can’t do anything right now. So remind me again, why are you taking money? If you can’t even fight everything should be paused. That includes the money. What a scam. Go with National debt relief. Get it right the first time They are amazingReview from Melinda C

Do not use these people! Been paying $1500 a month for a year now and none of that money has gone towards our debts its all going towards "admin and retainer fees". When I call nobody answers and if I am lucky to get someone after calling multiple times and waiting on hold for almost an hour the lady who answers the phone has a bad attitude right off the bat and refuses to answer my questions and cannot tell me anything about my account. As for the lawyer they supposedly have working on my account when i first started? He called 8 months ago to inform me he is no longer part of H&A and wishes us luck. Now I have 2 lawsuits against me and I submit all the paperwork I get from collectors but they say it's "incomplete information" it leaves me asking "what in the world could be missing when I am sending you every scrap of paper the collectors have sent me?!" Then when I ask when I will get a new lawyer to handle my case the call 100% of the time gets disconnected. They do not return calls or respond to emails and they do not help you settle debt. Please for your sanity and your financial future find another solution, do not use these people.Review from Stephanie c

This place is a scam. I have paid them over $24,000 to pay off a $15,000 debt. They have only paid $7000 of the debt. I have been checking my account with Global Holdings. The last three months say they have made a payment to the credit card debt but it's pending. Pending??? Why pending? They keep taking my money but it doesn't go down. Then they say i don't have enough in my account. I have been in the program over three years. I'm sick about this.Review from Kathleen S

I am one of the many that have been screwed by Hallock. One of my creditors put a judgment against me and this account could have been settled. The stories are the same and this is true . A class action lawsuit needs to be done - I’m in ,, this man , this firm, should not be allowed to get away with this . Worst thing I ever did in my life - and he’s just getting a tap in the hand - I think not . I am filing a grievance with the Bar association against him as well , and I am retaining an attorney to go after him . This is dispicable ..he isn’t worth One star ..Review from Zachary H

They took 7k of our money in fees and were not paying what they were suppose to. Now I am about 7k and have a terrible credit score because they said to stop paying. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against them!Review from bucketheadklunk

There are not enough words for what this company has done to my finances. I did not have near the level of debt that some others had, but after surviving covid with credit cards we were not able to get our feet under us. I failed to get a consolidation loan, but was offered this "great" opportunity to take care of my debt through Hallock and Associates. What a sham. I tried for the better part of 3 years (my contract was supposed to end in August but was not remotely close to doing what was promised) to believe this would work out and now my credit is worse than it was when they took over and the majority of the debt was never resolved. I finally closed my account Tuesday and they said my remaining 760 in my account would be returned within 3 business days (which is still has not - 3 days later). In three years I paid them $9692.50. $5,343.49 of that money went to Hallock and fees, while only $4,309.01 went to bills. 55% of my money went to Hallock. Numerous chances to address debts were ignored (My $3300 capital one bill could have been resolved for $1100, which I couldn't do because my money was tied up and used up by Hallocks fees). In the end, I have paid them about 80% of what I owed the companies and only had about 40% of that debt erased. My money still isn't returned and their BBB rating being tanked does not redeem my money or my credit score. What should have been cleared up in three years is not a nightmare I will need to fix on my own in the next few years.Review from RJ M

NOT even worthy of 1 star! If you are considering Hallock And Associates in helping you with your debt, DON'T do it! The reviews are REAL. People already under this program need to think about a class action lawsuit for Breech of Contract!Review from Denise K

Near impossible to contact anyone at Hallock & Associates LLC. I have been on hold for 1 hour and 43 minutes by phone. Text messages and e-mails have not been answered. Last time I actually spoke with an individual, in Feb, she was flat-out rude and disrespectful. 1 star is being generous.Review from Julie K

I’m not sure why I can’t reach Hallock anymore by phone last 2 weeks. I’ve been under contract since January 2022. Apparently after 24 months of paying $524 I guess I can end the contract. But I want to make sure. UghReview from Dustin T

After 12 months of business with this company and paying over $11,000 my client portal showed they had reached 1 settlement and 2 payment plans. The settlement (indicated by debt settled) was for just under $700 and the two payment plans totaled in $30 monthly payments to one creditor. It wasn't until I was sued that I had realized they has no intent in honoring their contractual obligations. I terminated this employment relationship and I found that the "Settled debt" was still outstanding and that creditor among the rest were still seeking resolution to these debts. Despite calling the lawyer assigned to the account, I have not been able to reach them or H&A to date to obtain any reason why they might have mislead me on this debt alone whilst still taking payment for services non-rendered. When calling the assigned lawyer I'm met with a full inbox and never an answer. While calling H&A offices directly I end up on a hold line for 20 to 30 minutes each time... but never an answer. The only time I was able to talk with them directly, following the onboarding process, was when they would call me asking for additional funds to aid them in resolving debts. I had authorized this the first time they called for this which was supposed to be for the aforementioned settled debt but clearly no debts were resolved despite their claim to the contrary. I am now trying to piece together my creditors contacts and associated debt collector entities so I might resolve these debts moving forward myself. I have continued to reach H&A on several occasions to merely assist me with explaining the "settled debt" and obtaining contact information that might expedite my research. A reasonable approach seeing as they took almost $10,000, lest the escrow account I was able to retrieve, that I might be provided with rudimentary information on these matters. It's clear to me now that this "service" is one wherein a client pays retainer and admin fees that yield no actualized service.
